Mm-mm, yes.
SPEAKER_03Thank you, Kaylani.
SPEAKER_06I had to let this rob a kid over the.
SPEAKER_02This grew on me. I didn't, it wasn't one of my favorites at first. Word? Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Once I saw the clips, I was like, nah, this is about the beat, buddy.
SPEAKER_02This is the one song I didn't listen to. He loves the clips. He's an OG for sure. I know all my no cuz of him.
SPEAKER_06See, this is not like 2006 in my breed.
SPEAKER_02She really study. You need to tell she's a student from that play. It's not a cops play, but she loves to be studying.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I need a button in this one. I need to clip it up with the missing.
SPEAKER_02We gotta take Missy Single. See this is button too. Have a hot take. Out of all the singles, vocally, I think Out the Window is stronger than Folded vocally.
SPEAKER_03I can agree with that.
SPEAKER_02And Folded is a great record, don't get me wrong. But she was doing some real good singing on Out the Windows.
SPEAKER_03So the one thing with Folded, I feel like she made that. She finished mastering. It was like, I don't need to do shit else. Yeah. This is this is the one.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh shit. Damn. We spent we spent a long ass time on music, bro. What is it? Almost two hours?
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You got a bunch of music-obsessed people in the room, of course.
SPEAKER_03No, for real. But we got we got topics we gotta get to.
SPEAKER_06I mean, I mean, alright, so we usually with guests, we usually get into the topics. Okay. And then uh we get into other stuff after. This is the first time we didn't get into the topics. Okay.
SPEAKER_03But because you are our first New York guest, I'm gonna give some New York respect and I'm gonna let you pick the first topic.
SPEAKER_02Alright. Let me see. Let me see what we got. What about euphoria?
SPEAKER_03Oh, you want to start heavy with Euphoria? Did you finish watching it?
SPEAKER_06No, bruh. So I'm gonna go. Okay, okay, okay, but check this out, check this out.
SPEAKER_02I don't want to spoil nothing for you.
SPEAKER_06No, we're gonna have to spoil this shit because I've been trying to wait for my girl to want to see it to where I finally have with her. I'm like, yo, put this. She was like, I don't know what to put on like, put that on right now. Put that on, put that on right now. Like, just put it by now. So now she just came out, she's like, I don't want to watch this shit. I was like, okay, okay, that's now, now I'm watching this by myself. Right.
SPEAKER_01So you're catching up?
SPEAKER_06I'm trying to catch up eventually, but we just finished the boys and something, a few other things. So now that there's a clean slate and everybody finishing their shows, I'm catching up with Euphoria by the time this season final comes. Got it. But y'all gotta spill it because I Oh no, we're spilling beans today. I see the shit on Twitter. Like, nah, nah, nah. I see way too much where I'm like, okay, I got a good premise of what's going on.
SPEAKER_03Oh, trust me, our audience knows like if you haven't seen something, don't listen to us clips.
SPEAKER_06You better skip. Spoiler, spoiler, spoiler. I used to want to do like a little spoiler thing in the corner. Nah, because we just get into it so fast. I'm like, damn.
SPEAKER_03It's hard to so can I start with a rumor?
SPEAKER_06Sure. Oh, that rumor? Yeah, let's get into it.
SPEAKER_03So there's a rumor that Cassie and Maddie are both gonna get trafficked. Traffic. Why can't I fucking trafficked? Yeah. And die by the way. I don't like that.
SPEAKER_02Oh, don't like the sound of that.
SPEAKER_03I don't I mean, it's realistic. I don't think it will happen. If anything, maybe just Cassie.
SPEAKER_02That's what I think. Yeah. Because that's been my theory for a little bit now, and I've seen other people theorizing the Cassie thing. It'll break my heart if Maddie has a really bad ending. I know the actress Alexa Demi said it's not a good ending, but she was like, but it's euphoria, nobody has a good ending. I hope her ending isn't death, and I really don't want it to be trafficking.
SPEAKER_03So I I honestly kind of got worried as soon as she started working with Alamo because I don't think that her working with Alamo is the bright future that she thinks it is. Right. Like I know she's trying just to get a bag because like she's living in a broke down apartment. Like shit is just heavy for her, and she has Cassie that she's trying to make a star just for her own financial benefit.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. I love it.
SPEAKER_03But at the same time, like now Cassie's already doing that same shit that Cassie does where she just loves to portray you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So it's one of those things where it's like she could portray her now, but if she betrays her too much, and they both run into Alamo on some like where the fuck is Rue shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Or why did you fuck up the bag by getting rid of your OnlyFans? Because remember, that's how the episode ended with her deleting it. So Alamo already proved that he can snap on Maddie like that. Because he already had to be.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah. I heard that.
SPEAKER_03So if that's the case and that actually happens, everybody dying, to be honest. I ain't gonna lie to that.
SPEAKER_02It's definitely clip for Cassie either way, because there's too much. She's got her own stuff and then stuff through Nate.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So for Cassie and Nate, it's definitely not a happy ending.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I really don't want to see Maddie get trafficked. Like, I really don't want to see that beat.
SPEAKER_03It only sucks because Maddie's the last likable character in the show.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like this is partly the reason if Zendaya and her are the reason I'm still watching this. What's going on with Rudo? Like, what isn't going on with Rude? The last thing I saw.
SPEAKER_06Wait, but I saw a picture of her with her head laying out the dirt. Is that real? Because I'm like how they do that.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so uh-huh. It was really cool that they did that. Like Zendaya said that they literally buried her. Yeah, like they buried her like neck down. Yeah. She said she wanted to do that because she wanted it to be authentic. I respect you for that. Not me though.
SPEAKER_02Well, they did also say uh Marsha Marshawn Lynch, who's in the show, they said that the dirt they kicked at her was clean dirt, though. So like she was buried for real. But the dirt that he was like kicking at her as if they were like trying to scare her and bury her further was like dirt that they ran through water and cleaned because to get rid of the bugs and any bacteria. So the dirt they were kicking at the city.
SPEAKER_03You can clean dirt apparently.
SPEAKER_02They called it clean mud, that's what they called it. And they were kicking that at her. But then she was actually buried. So it was like uh like a compromise of okay, you did the you were a soldier for letting us actually bury you, but we're not gonna kick dirty dirt at you.
SPEAKER_03Random question before we finish, though. You know why people get eczema?
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_06How does that look though? Like can't anyone get eczema? I mean, yeah, but my fault.
SPEAKER_03Random question. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_02I was gonna say, I was like, where I was like, does Cassie have eczema and I just didn't notice? Like I was confused.
SPEAKER_03I'm not gonna hold you. I spent the last I spent the last 10 minutes trying not to think about it. But it was a random thought that popped in my head, and I'm like, yo, yeah. I'm like, do white people get eczema?
SPEAKER_06But can you see it though?
SPEAKER_02Like, can you sometimes make you red? Sometimes doesn't it make you red and inflamed?
SPEAKER_03Oh, so that gotta be if you scratch it, probably, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I feel like sometimes it's noticeable, right?
SPEAKER_03I I haven't had eczema since I was like 17, maybe. So I had it when I was like eight. Yeah, like I had it. I was a late bloomer, bro. That shit took a minute to go away.
SPEAKER_02But damn, that sucks. That does. But yeah, Rue is up to no good. Like uh Donnie said, she's a snitch now, working for the DEA, right?
SPEAKER_03Damn, I heard so yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she's in some shit. Either way, she's fucked.
SPEAKER_03Basically, she was driving back to Alamo, and while she was driving back, yeah, from Lori. Yeah, she was driving back to Alamo from Lori, and she got pulled over. Once she got pulled over, they kind of already knew that like she was smuggling drugs in Mexico. Yeah, so that's that's where that whole thing came from, which leads to like my favorite line of this the season so far. Which is where Rue was sitting there looking at them and she was just like, So you can lie to me, but I can't lie to you.
SPEAKER_07Oh shit.
SPEAKER_03Yo, that was the best. Yo, I don't care what anybody says, like, even Zendaya's acting in that great typical Rue, but also yeah, Jules smacked the sh fucking sonic coins out of the Jules gonna have to see me for that.
SPEAKER_02Because like you can clock Rue's tea all day, but the moment she clocks yours, now now you slapping her? Like, nah, Jules gotta see me for that.
SPEAKER_03No, Jules, I didn't I didn't know that was a front or backhand, but that shit went all the way back.
SPEAKER_01And then Rue's dramatic ass just stay living in the painting. But she smacks her into one of her paintings.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so dramatic ass just and everybody was like, why is she just doing that? I'm like, let her be dramatic.
SPEAKER_07Let her be dramatic.
SPEAKER_03But Red, since you know, I know you're a milkaholic.
SPEAKER_01Uh-oh. Why would you why would you do that?
SPEAKER_06I mean, he's not lying, but that's crazy.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy. So you into Sydney Sweeney and all that?
SPEAKER_06I do fuck with Sydney Sweeney.
SPEAKER_02The lot do you do You got a button for that?
SPEAKER_03Do you want to see the do you want to see the beginning of the last episode before we finish this book?
SPEAKER_06You're talking about the fucking the giant scene?
SPEAKER_02The 50-foot woman?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, the part what Twitter was going crazy with that shit.
SPEAKER_03I mean, to be fair. That was a lot. That's just straight. She had giant boots. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02That was strictly for Sam Levinson. That was strictly for Sam Levinson because Legends were. That wasn't needed. That wasn't needed.
SPEAKER_03Can we agree that like Sam Levinson is just a freaky ass nick? Nah, but like an extremely freakier, dirtier version of Quentin Tarantino.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's saying a lot, too. Yeah. That's saying a lot. Because like I heard that he cast himself in one of his own movies just to kiss uh what's her face is yeah. What's her name?
SPEAKER_06Um oh boy. Was it Uma Thurman?
SPEAKER_03It wasn't Uma Thurman. It was the girl from Duckburg first.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, Salma Hayek. Salma Hayek. That's some weird, nasty shit.
SPEAKER_03And I don't even like feet. Doesn't it really be?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's nasty.
SPEAKER_03I love watching Tarantino shit, but I hate that every time I watch it, I have to expect either the N-word to pop out or fucking feet. I I don't I don't understand it.
SPEAKER_02That's his MO. They don't have a Tarantino.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, Sam Levinson like is like and Sydney Sweeney's just uh-huh, like going with it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's kinda you know what I'm saying? It's kind of flat. But I do, I do like, I do like her character though. I'm not gonna lie to you.
SPEAKER_02I liked Cassie in the first season, but after that she lost me.
SPEAKER_06The second season.
SPEAKER_03Second season when she was in the top peak to me.
SPEAKER_06Dash was crazy fine. I felt the tense. I was like, damn.
SPEAKER_03My my only problem with just the growth of Euphoria, like I understand the route that he was trying to go through, but Cassie wasn't really important in season one. Like for people to say that they liked her in season one, big captain. There there has to be conflict in order for you to like a certain character.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_03When season two came around, yes, it was kind of like a cop out because it was like she's dating her best friend's man and all this other shit.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Cool, whatever. There's certain scenes, like the play, for example.
SPEAKER_02I know what scene popped into both y'all heads as soon as he said the play scene.
SPEAKER_03See, the play, the scene that popped into my head was like when she walked back.
SPEAKER_01I was breathing off heavy in the window.
SPEAKER_02Like, like, what is her problem? To me, every time someone says the play, I think about that finale. It's raining men. See, not my like that's what I think about because that's it, that was crazy.
SPEAKER_03Like, my favorite scene in season two is literally I don't even know why you're believing her.
SPEAKER_02She's a democratic. And what kills me is Maddie didn't blink. She goes, and Rue, when was this? Like, did not even care that she was a crack. She's like, Rue don't lie about certain things.
SPEAKER_03That's like really bad.
SPEAKER_01The one line they let her have in season two. Yo, they low-key gave Cat Storyline to Cassie. Yo, because Cat's.
SPEAKER_03I'm not gonna lie to you. Like, Kat, Cat was my favorite character from season one. Now, the fact that you're gonna sit there and basically have all of season two just be Kat, wondering if she's trying to dump a nigga or not, is crazy. Yeah, that shows absolutely.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he ended up caring more about the the man that she was trying to dump than her in season two. Yeah, I forgot his name, but exactly.
SPEAKER_03Back to season three, like I I don't know what direction the shit is going. Like, obviously, at this point, we kind of just want it to end.
SPEAKER_02I don't think he knows either. That's the problem.
SPEAKER_03But like, I feel like I feel like this is the problem when you go ahead and you make you take four years to make a season, but you just made a shitty ass show before this season.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, I didn't even last, I lasted one episode.
SPEAKER_03Yo, everyone did, yeah. And I loved the weekend, me too, but not enough.
SPEAKER_02See, here's the thing though.
SPEAKER_03Like, I hated that show. Like, you and Jay love it. I don't know what it is about it.
SPEAKER_06He just said he didn't like it. No, I didn't like it. Oh, you said you didn't like the season.
SPEAKER_03I mean the first episode. Sorry, I thought you were saying you liked it, my fault. But like, even Jay loved it, and I was just like, oh, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02The only good thing about the show was the music. The music was pretty good. The music was slapping. Yeah, that's about it.
SPEAKER_06I would get through the show just to get to the music.
SPEAKER_03But even on my favorite part, my favorite part is I'll fucking curb stomp.
SPEAKER_02That yo, that's what killed the show. When that clip went viral and niggas was clowning at him, that's what killed the show.
SPEAKER_06I think the viral clips, I was like, ah, yeah, I still love this dude, but and Lily Rose Depp, I think that's her name, right?
SPEAKER_02Johnny Depp's daughter is actually a good actress.
SPEAKER_03She is. Oh, really?
SPEAKER_02So that show wasn't like if that was your first experience with her, please go see her other stuff because that was not a good representation of her ability.
SPEAKER_03I feel like it was a good starting ground for her, but even if it was bad, I feel like it was a good starting ground for her. Because once she popped out in Noseferatu, yes, like she proved herself.
SPEAKER_02I didn't like that movie overall, but she was good in it, if that makes sense. Like it's because it's not my type of movie, but she was good in it. So yeah, euphoria doesn't know Euphoria doesn't you were saying Euphoria doesn't know where it's going.
SPEAKER_06Are they ending are they ending it after this season?
SPEAKER_02That's what they are they originally were gonna do, but I did hear rumblings that if the ratings for the season was good, they were debating a season four. And even then wrap it up.
SPEAKER_03Even then, like you would just have to go ahead and completely make a whole new euphoria. And let's be honest, nobody's nobody's gonna play Rue like fucking Zendayo. Exactly.
SPEAKER_02Zenday's not coming back regardless. You could make a season four. I don't think she's coming back.
SPEAKER_06I don't think so either. She's probably contractually obligated to do this, and he's like, alright, let's wrap this up.
SPEAKER_02And I think part of the failure of this season is that like you can tell that the entire cast wasn't able to shoot at the same time. That ending scene with that conversation with Rue's mom where you don't see the mom until the very end, you don't hear her until the very end, lets me know that Rue was uh Zende was done rap was done shooting at that point, and they brought her in after fan backlash, the mom, because there was fan backlash that the mom wasn't a part of it, and they just snuck her in there and that was it.
SPEAKER_03So I think my favorite scene thus far, like my favorite part of just the entire show is Rue and Maddie's relationship. I agree, yeah, but specifically that diner scene why is it always a diner scene?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, right, because her and her and Ali have some good diner scenes.
SPEAKER_06When it comes to diner scene, they're like, well, we about to go.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So basically, what happened in the diner scene was that Rue was just out with Maddie and she looked out the window and she seen Bishop, which I feel like Bishop is an underrated character this season. He's really funny.
SPEAKER_02There's a lot of theories floating around about like if he's an undercover cop or something.
SPEAKER_03I feel like he knows everything that's going on.
SPEAKER_06You're talking about the quiet dude, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, with the little one that talks like this. Yeah, with the fro.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but the fro and then the two little what? Dreads? Are they?
SPEAKER_03I don't know.
SPEAKER_02It's weakness. Muffin chops.
SPEAKER_01You made that up, nigga.
SPEAKER_03But that scene specifically, like even Rue just eyeing her eyes over to the window, like, what the fuck's about to happen? And then Maddie, like, as soon as Alamo sat down and Maddie's looking, like, you good? And she's like, No. Yeah. But yeah, Maddie still goes. Yeah. Which is which is kind of the part that I'm like, I feel like there's a plan that Maddie has that doesn't involve the girls at all.
SPEAKER_02I do, but I I'm fearful that she thinks that she can outsmart him and smarter than him, than she is.
SPEAKER_03It was also intriguing that she specifically picked Magic and Kitty.
SPEAKER_02Yes. I want to know what the but knowing Sam Levinson, we're not gonna get any real intention.
SPEAKER_03I don't know why I'm making like real life theories about this shit, but like it's just so specific that you pick the girl that snitched on Rue and then the girl that Rue was trying to save.
SPEAKER_02Well, she doesn't know either of those things.
SPEAKER_03So that's how sure are we about that?
SPEAKER_02True.
SPEAKER_03Because that look that was on Maddie's face where it was like, You good? It could have been like this is him.
SPEAKER_02I don't think I don't think she knew much. Because remember, she asked, This is your boss. I don't think she knows much about Rue's life. Because remember, in an earlier scene in a different episode, Rue says, I need drugs, not to do them. And she's Maddie's like, girl, I don't feel comfortable giving you that. So she has no idea what the look on her face, too. She was like, girl, be for real. I'm not giving you drugs.
SPEAKER_03Yo, that's what was so funny. They was like, You're doing drugs again? No, it's not for me. Shut the fuck up. Right.
SPEAKER_02But Maddie wasn't going for it. So I think that like if Maddie truly knew how deeply in trouble uh Rue was, you wouldn't see what she's doing now. Um so I would argue that she that because Rue loves her, she's try she's tried to shield Maddie from it as much as possible, which was why Rue was so panicked in that diner scene because the two worlds are colliding that were never meant to collide.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You see that same panic when What's his face mentions that he spoke to her mother. You see that same look of panic. And I think it's heartbreaking that Maddie on multiple fronts is naive in a way because part of the reason she's so fueled to be doing what she's doing is she went to that wedding and thinks Nate and Cassie are living a much better life than they actually are. And thinks that, you know, from some of the what she knows about Alamo could think that this is a better way to get to what Cassie and Nate have, and both are not true to reality. And she's kind of naive to that and falling into bad choices that Rue is trying to save her from.
SPEAKER_03And more sucks because as much as we try to say that like Maddie doesn't want Nate anymore, it kind of seems like she does.
SPEAKER_02See, that's where we disagree. I don't think she wants him. I think the bigger hurt is Cassie. I mean, she had a whole shrine for Cassie, but when remember when they meet in the in her in her place of living, there's that whole shrine to Cassie, and Cassie picks up the photo and goes, You're like my best friend, and Maddie's like, Really? I really do think it's more about Cassie than Nate. They haven't her uh Maddie and Nate haven't had enough interaction for me to really see that.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_02At first I thought that Cass uh Maddie was using Cassie for a bigger picture and was gonna screw her over. Now that, now I'm unsure of what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_03I do love how self-centered Cassie is. Very like I know, I know it's such a deceiving fucking treat, but it's so funny. Like it's so funny in cases like when she ran in and it was just like, hey Maddie, I don't want to work with you anymore. And Maddie's sitting here in the chair, like, really, bitch.
SPEAKER_02Like, you know what I mean? Or like when Nate's getting his ass beat and she's worried about her bloody nose. Like, just so unaware of the world outside of like her own being. Um, so it's like once you kind of get over or try to like separate Sydney Sweeney from the character, it is funny. Um, I think it's harder for me to separate the two of them because like Sam Levinton is the same person, so it's hard for me to do that. But when I the moments when I can, Cassie is a funny ass character. She is because she's so delusional and dizzy.
SPEAKER_07That's why I love it. That's why I love it.
SPEAKER_02I bet.
unknownAn alcoholic.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy. You got a button for that?
SPEAKER_03I wish. I'm sorry, though, please. Why not, Pookie?
SPEAKER_02But yeah, uh, do you have any theories about like how the show is gonna end?
SPEAKER_03I at this point, I I don't even fucking know. Like, I wish I could be honest about it, but it's at a point where it's like the only thing that we are definitive about is that Rue's gonna die.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'd be shocked. I think there's a 15% chance she lives.
SPEAKER_03Sam is like that, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yes, and if she does live, I think she ends up taking over both uh Lori and Alamo's shit if she does live. Because I feel like she has a habit of just failing upwards.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no, she fails up. That shit is dramatic.
SPEAKER_03I will say though, there's something interesting about the deal that Lori and Alamo made, which proves that I don't think Lori's gonna live to the end either.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, definitely. I don't think so.
SPEAKER_03However, I'm not too sure about Alamo. I don't know if he's gonna live. I don't know if he's just gonna duck off. Yeah. Like I'm there's something odd about him where it's like I understand that he doesn't want a woman to betray him the way that his mom did.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Which by the way, one of the Best one of my favorite scenes and best scenes of the season so far. Um, the actress, I think her name is Danielle. I don't remember her last name, who played his mom. Incredible, incredible. That that backstory. One thing Euphoria does really well is good backstories. Yeah. And that was a really good backstory to really understand why Alamo is the way he is.
SPEAKER_03I feel like the basis of Euphoria was just backstory. Like, I feel like when they adapted the show, they just was like backstory is the most important part, and then had no future for it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like they didn't build on it more, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's hard to do that with eight episodes. I hate the eight episode model for that reason. You cannot get to know these characters enough.
SPEAKER_06We be bitching, and then it's like, no, we we yo, because we talked about this without getting it.
SPEAKER_05It's not clocking to you.
SPEAKER_06You get eight episodes, and then they're like, we'll see you in two to three years. You're like, bro, what?
SPEAKER_02Right. I had to go back and do a recap of what happened in Euphoria because it's been four years. That's ridiculous. And they lost all that momentum because season two, like, people were really locked in.
SPEAKER_06That shit ended on a crazy note.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like we could have had two additional seasons in this time that we lost.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So, yeah, I agree with Donnie. I don't know where this is gonna end, but I do know one thing for certain. I will be shocked if Ru lives. I would love it if she did, because low-key, I still want to root for her, but I don't see a way in where she lives.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, euphoria is heavy this this this season.
SPEAKER_02And nasty too, just for the sake of it. Fair warning. It's nasty.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, nigga, like dick swinging nasty.
SPEAKER_03Nigga, like fucking Faye. You remember Faye? Yeah, yeah. She's dating a fucking Nazi right now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. What? She has a like a like uh what is it, a swastika tattoo now on the on her uh what do they call it tramp stamp?
SPEAKER_03Fucking Rue sat there and asked her, like, so are you a Nazi now?
SPEAKER_02And she was like, uh, not really. Literally, that's what she says. Not really.
SPEAKER_03They just be so casually into like I feel like Sam Levinson is just looking for a reason to offend. Yeah, shocking.
SPEAKER_02And it's like, like you said, he wants to be Tarantino.
SPEAKER_03At this point, though, like, it's not even shock value. Like, it's kind of just like you're just putting shit in there and then. Yeah, like you don't really believe in it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like it's not meant to be uh, what's the word? Uh it's not meant to what's the word? Uh it's not meant to stimulate bigger conversations at this point. It's just it's just there for shock value.
SPEAKER_06That that kind of happened with the um with the 50 foot woman scene when it was online on Twitter.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Because there were real, like, I was reading comments, there was real Twitter people who are into this, and they're like, he's not even doing the giant shit right.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_06They was like, what was the whole point of this? Like, you just made this scene and this.
SPEAKER_02It added nothing to the episode, I promise.
SPEAKER_06I I can tell.
SPEAKER_02I can fucking tell. Like, really, that's what it comes down to.
SPEAKER_06But yeah.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, you'll have to catch up so you can be locked in for that finally. Because it's coming up quick. Tomorrow is like the second to last episode.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Okay. So it's done by the end of the month.
SPEAKER_02Yep, and they're all like what, hour-long episodes?
SPEAKER_03I think the last one is gonna be an hour and a half.
SPEAKER_02That's like a movie, right? Essentially, like movie length. You better start watching two at night. Yeah, two at night.
SPEAKER_06I'm gonna have to catch up all tomorrow. That's like five hours gone. That's crazy. Nah, the last episode I think I saw was three.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so you're not as far behind as I thought.
SPEAKER_06No, I don't think I saw the weddings. Whichever I didn't see the wedding.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I don't remember which episode number the wedding was. Four, maybe?
SPEAKER_03Three. I think it was three. Okay.
SPEAKER_02So you're two episodes in.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Damn.
SPEAKER_06My bad. That's cool. What? Um do you want to get into another season final or do you want to get into the boys? Some development.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm gonna let y'all chop it up. I've never seen the boys before. What? Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Did you did you see the shit that went viral this week?
SPEAKER_02Uh, I did see how it ended for like a very much hated character from what I'm reading. But I don't know exactly. I just know he died. Spoiler alert.
SPEAKER_06Audience. Niggas saw that. There's no spoiler.
SPEAKER_01He died.
SPEAKER_03Audience. I'ma say this, and I'ma put an extreme pause before it. Crazy.
SPEAKER_00I'll suck your fucking dick.
SPEAKER_05I'll do anything you want. Yo. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_06So the main villain. The main villain, there's been a whole uh two sides of a coin thing. There's the boys and their leader, Butcher, who uh whose wife was uh raped by the villain of the show.
SPEAKER_03Homelander.
SPEAKER_06Homelander.
SPEAKER_03Homelander.
SPEAKER_06So it's kind of been a thing for years and years and years, and he had a whole huge plot revenge. He's like, I'm gonna kill this dude. But this guy's Superman, basically. And you're like, Well how do you kill? So good luck with that. Yeah, so it in the in the download in the downward spiral of it, he basically became a version of Homelander to where like he's doing anything to any means to get to this guy's demise.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06So where at the end of it, they have a they kind of share a son because the when he raped her, she had a rape baby while he was still together, so it's a super it's a super baby. Well, he's not a kid, he's not a kid anymore. They made him a teenager. Okay, but it's always been the flip of the coin, like they'll fight over him and he'll go to one, go to another, but he keeps leaving him because he's like, You both are monsters.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_06Inevitably, like you both are just fucking monsters.
SPEAKER_02Kind of like the idea of like your rage consumes you and kind of makes you as terrible as a person.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, yeah. And they they kind of they kind of went crazy, they've been kind of teasing to this villain having like a huge scorch the earth scene where he just breaks and probably just kills millions of people. And they were teasing it and teasing it and teasing it, and we never we never experienced that. Got it. Even in the beginning of the season, he's like, Well, no, I know my purposes. I'm the second coming, I'm God. So now you're just like, everybody who is on his side, like the other superheroes who are also dick wads and douchebags, they're all just scared of him. So they're like, Yeah, yeah, let's try to force this onto people. Right. And it's not getting received well, because people are like, all right, this dude's clearly out of it. But I'm not gonna say shit, because he might fucking fry my brains out. Right.
SPEAKER_03So are me and you in agreement before I say it. I'm scared to say it.
SPEAKER_06Not say it, say, because I probably agree.
SPEAKER_03Can we admit that this shit was low-key mid? Oh, the finale?
SPEAKER_06Nick, the whole season was kind of the whole season was mid.
SPEAKER_03Yo, I'm not gonna lie to you though, like I don't know if this is like a new trend where the last season is just ass. It's the end, it's but I felt the same exact way that I felt watching the Stranger Things finale when I was watching this. Like it was one of those things I did at first, and then the emotions went away. Yeah, you know what I mean? Like, it's you know when you just watch a show for so long, like Stranger Things is one of those shows that I just grew up with within the last 10 years, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Literally, so emotional attachment, exactly.
SPEAKER_03Like, I was 18 when it came out, right? So it was one of those things where it's just like I fell in love with the show, the aesthetic, the characters, especially the characters, because the characters made that show just for the ending to kind of just be lackluster. That's how I felt watching the boys.
SPEAKER_06I think I did a I saw a little um like one of mean reels things, and inevitably, I think every great show just has a suck-ass final season and a horrible final because they don't know how to properly end the train. Or like, I don't know which Breaking Bad had one of the greatest finals ever, but that's just don't spoil that though, because that that's on my list.
SPEAKER_02I'm I'm eventually gonna get one greatest show every time.
SPEAKER_03You gotta get I'm telling you now, you pick up Breaking Bad, the first maybe three episodes, you're gonna be like, yo, why am I watching this?
SPEAKER_02I tried it back in the day. I tried one episode and I couldn't get through it.
SPEAKER_03I'm not I'm not spoiling anything, but as soon as you get to the plate scene, fire. You're you're hooked. You're hooked.
SPEAKER_06Like that's good.
SPEAKER_02I will say, like, one of the things I learned, like when I was studying script writing, my professor always like drilled in our head when you start a movie, uh writing a film or a TV show, you have to start it knowing how it ends. And I think a lot of these showrunners and writers don't do that, they just have a good beginning and middle, they get lost in the middle, and then don't know how the show's supposed to end.
SPEAKER_03See, that's a personal problem that I have because like I write a lot, but I'll I think I talked about this last season too, where I was just like, I'll start something, I'll I'll even be like 70% done with it, and then I'll delete it. And the reason why is because like I don't have an ending for it. It's just that I had a really great concept, a really great idea, and it was always the same shit. Like, for some reason, my brain starts in the middle of the script. Right. And it's easy for me to make an opening, right? Because I'm I'm low-key great at making openings. Endings are hard. I'm terrible. I love endings.
SPEAKER_02Like I don't say what I just said to like even shit on any of the showrunners and writers. Writing a good ending is hard because you also have to factor in fan expectations, it's hard to please everybody.
SPEAKER_06Impossible now.
SPEAKER_02Um, but I will do that. I will abandon an idea if I don't have a an ending number one or a good, satisfying ending that makes sense for the story.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. So now that you said that, if you do look at the boys in retrospect, they knew they were gonna kill that character. But I think everything in the middle kind of lost its footing. Right. Even after Well are we spoiling this boy in it?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, might as well.
SPEAKER_06Both characters died.
SPEAKER_02Oh wow.
SPEAKER_06Homelander, Homelander gets killed by the main dude Butcher, and then Butcher's second in charge, the heart of the show kills him towards the end because And it was like a total accident. Oh wow. Was it though? He shot him.
SPEAKER_03I mean, he shot him, but like the way, like, you know that shit that Huey does, man. Like Huey he acts first, but then he can't finish that.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03So it's like, yeah, he pointed the gun out at Butcher, and Butcher's looking at him like, Yeah, this was funny. Nigga, the fuck you gonna do? You know what I mean? But fear and all that other shit, it kind of just it kind of just happened.
SPEAKER_06So the but but the thing is too, and I gotta I gotta put you in with the with the season. What sucks about the season is they had a whole subplot where it was like they found um a virus to kill all superheroes, like all people with that shit in their blood, it kills you. And they had this McGuffin going for like that long, and they're like, all right, we're gonna kill Homelander, we're gonna set up at this church, we're gonna kill him, this, this, and that, and go about our day. And they have superhero people on their team, so they're like, but they're like, yo, fuck it, we'll die.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_06Like for the for the sake of him dying, yeah. Like, but the thing is that had like a few episodes before it ended, he Homelander got like his hands on this the original blood format, V1 basically. Like, no new generation superhero had this blood flow, like of the original um fuck, what was it called? It's V1, but it was something else.
SPEAKER_03I I forgot exactly. I just called it V.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, V, the V basically.
SPEAKER_02Which is that why there's a spinoff called Gen V?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because what it is when what people don't know is they make it seem like people were born as superheroes, but when kids are born, their parents kind of sell them off as like experiments. Not like sell them, but they make they put their kids as experiments, like they get paid to have their kids be experiments.
SPEAKER_02So they could live or die.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, okay, and you don't know what your kid's power is gonna be or whatever, so it leaves in catastrophical things like Gen V, where the main character accidentally killed her parents when her powers peaked because she controls blood. So I forgot what the fuck happened, her period or some shit like that. Something happened.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she had her period, and then when she had her period, she's basically a bloodbender. Yeah, so that's how she found out. Yeah, yeah. But like that's how she found out that she had powers because she had her period and she was only able to control blood.
SPEAKER_02Got it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and her parents exploded.
SPEAKER_02Yo, that's some sick shit. It was fucking sick.
SPEAKER_03Oh, oh, uh look, RIP the boys. Because I'm about to tell you, the boys is the nastiest show.
SPEAKER_02Like nastier than what I'm seeing in Euphoria? Oh, yo.
SPEAKER_03Euphoria's fucking kid. I'm telling you, just so you uh Hi spooks. Hi, Spooks. Sorry, audience spooks just dug his nails down my back anyway. What the fuck is that? He's fine. But um That's my man, Joe. I'm telling you just so you don't have to watch it, because I already know it's gonna disgust you. So, like there's multiple things that happen within five seasons.
SPEAKER_06Did you think of a dude who went?
SPEAKER_03I immediately saw I I immediately saw the guy that shrunk. So there was a there was a character, right? And he shrunk. And he went inside a guy's dick.
SPEAKER_07Oh my god, no.
SPEAKER_03But then because he was trying to give him an orgasm.
SPEAKER_06Dude, what? Like scratching the walls inside, but then he sneezed.
SPEAKER_03So when he sneezed, he he went big again.
SPEAKER_06Yo, what the fuck? That was the first scene of season three.
SPEAKER_02That's insane. That's what they consider a cold open for that show. Like that's disgusting. Oh, there's words. I don't want to know. I think I've I you don't have to give other examples. I'm good.
SPEAKER_03That was probably the nuts dropped, and he started swinging them at people.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that was this season. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I've seen a couple of clips of Homelander from earlier seasons out of context. I will not be talking about what I saw.
SPEAKER_03Um, how he drinks breast milk?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Milcaholic.
SPEAKER_02I was like, yo, what kind of shit is this show that y'all are watching?
SPEAKER_03Yo, this episode might be called Milkaholic.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy. I mean, it might need to be. I mean, we had a whole thing about Sydney Sweeney about this. It might need to be. The writings on the wall. Sydney Sweeney, this is not an endorsement of you. This is not.
SPEAKER_06But um, so yeah, coming back to it. Sorry, I got sidetracked. They found, so he ended up, the the villain ended up finding the original V1 and inserted himself to where he basically became immortal.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so he had the original powers of what he had already and then V1?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and then he put the V1, and you're kind of like, oh shit, he's gonna scorch the earth, and then nah, he's just walking around like a dickhead.
SPEAKER_03Even more of a dickhead now, because like literally, like Trump times 10.
SPEAKER_06Yo, yeah, so they mirrored a lot of him with real life politics. Like that that that's the satire of the show. The show just make you look at the world and be like, you all are a fucking joke.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So I might have to watch it even though I know how it ends, because I always wanted to.
SPEAKER_03But oh yeah, speaking of that, long story short, the way it ends is basically Homelander loses his powers.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so he's vulnerable, yeah.
SPEAKER_03So, like when he loses his powers, like there's boy, literally the scene where like he falls, he gets back up, and he tries to shoot his lasers at you, but they're not coming out.
SPEAKER_02So he's like, like, like, yo, like 11 Australia.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, basically.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So then boy, then he's looking up and he tried to jump so he could fly.
SPEAKER_01And he's just mind if you asked their filming, that's probably what he really looks like.
SPEAKER_06So the dude butcher put Belta at yo, he was punching his face so many times. I thought he killed him. He didn't kill him after he's done punched the face. He's like, Yo, please. He's like, all the times I could have killed you. You can't do this to me. He was like, We had a thing going, you can't do this to me. You're fucking dead. No God. He's on his knees about that. He's like, I'll fucking stop.
SPEAKER_02I will say, like, whenever there's like an intense, like two sides like beefing, there is a sort of sexual tension, even if it's unintentional between characters.
SPEAKER_06They build it up throughout the seasons, though. Even at season three, Holman, it was like, it's gonna be you and me at the end of the road, scorched earth, blood and bones. And then ironically, when Butcher comes into the room, he's like, he's like, it's just you and me, blood and bones. I'm like, oh, he's about to put belt to ass.
SPEAKER_02That's Lei Loki had the most toxic relationship. Like, if you think about it, there is like an unintentional like tension.
SPEAKER_06And like we said, there's like they were sharing a son. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it's like they co-parenting. You're two fucked up co-parents.
SPEAKER_06And they both were the mother, the mother was like, Take care of my son, because she ends up getting killed.
SPEAKER_02Oh no.
SPEAKER_06Ah, fuck, I forgot how she got killed. I forgot to be like, that's already out why eventually started the show. She got killed, and her last words were like, Yo, please take care of my son and make sure Homelander doesn't take him.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_06Homelander takes him.
SPEAKER_02Right. Failed. So he failed.
SPEAKER_06But then Homelander is legit so fucked up, the kid's like, he runs away. He's like, nah, I can't be with this guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So yeah, they're two fucked up co-parents.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. To where he runs away from him because he's like, I can't be with you, you're fucking crazy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Now, there's an actor that I'm familiar with from other work. I think he was in a Madea movie, but he's in this. He's mad buff. He's a black actor. He's mad buff.
SPEAKER_06Mother's Milk?
SPEAKER_02Is that his name?
SPEAKER_06That's the only Buff Black.
SPEAKER_03These names are wild, bro. But yeah, Mother's Milk. His name is Mother's Milk, yeah.
SPEAKER_06He used to nurture, I think he nurtured a pigeon or some shit like that back to health. So they called him Mother's Milk to make fun of him.
SPEAKER_02Got it. But you know what I'm talking about, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And he's from Medea movie. I was like the scream. Yeah, I think so.
SPEAKER_02It starts with an L, his name.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, Laz, Laz, Laz something. Yeah, Alfonso. Yeah, Laz Alfonso.
SPEAKER_02Um, I want to say he, yeah, yeah, he plays a villain in a Medea movie.
SPEAKER_06So.
SPEAKER_02Oh no, no, it wasn't Medea. It was um the Christ this Christmas. Oh, this Christmas. He's the baby oil scene where Regina King's character catches him cheating and lets him get in the shower. She wakes him to get in the shower, puts the baby oil. Show me what you gonna do then.
SPEAKER_06Show me what you gonna do.
SPEAKER_02That's where he's from, not a Medea movie. He's in that.
SPEAKER_06Shit.
SPEAKER_02That's a throwback. Pussy looks different. Now he's all buff, and I be seeing all the women thirst over him so bad on Twitter.
SPEAKER_06Funny you said that. Um I know the actor's name because uh he's also a milkman.
SPEAKER_03Milkaholics, man. Milcaholic.
SPEAKER_02Wait, the actor in real life?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah. Like if you like say if he's married to a white girl? Nah, but if you see, like, if you see, like, you know, when like a baddie, not that it matters, but a suggested baddie, and you're like, I don't follow this shit. Who the fuck is this? You click a thing and it's like he follows.
SPEAKER_02I'm like so one milkman knows another milkman. Like, that's a milkman community.
SPEAKER_03Fucking milkers, man.
SPEAKER_06Milkers is crazy, son.
SPEAKER_02Milkers. That's crazy. That sounds nasty as hell.
SPEAKER_03Um, yeah, I'm over the boys, bro.
SPEAKER_06I did like your theory though, when you was like, I think Sister Sage is playing everyone. She was in fact not playing anyone. Yeah, she dumped herself down.
SPEAKER_03So I realized, like, as soon as she started talking to Kimiko, I was just like, all right, so your plan all along was to lose your power so you don't die. Got it. It was so fun. Like, I oh my god, yeah. RIP Sister Sage, man. You didn't die, but you did get a frontal lobotomy. So that that was crazy.
SPEAKER_02Frontal lobotomy is crazy, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah. So her character was super, super smart. So she was so smart that like her she couldn't like tone down the voices in her head, basically. So, in order for her to have sex, she had to get a frontal lobotomy.
SPEAKER_02So then, oh, so this is a real lobotomy. Yeah, yeah. Wow.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like the guy literally has to stab it through her eye, get the frontal lobotomy, and then like that corner of your eye, she'll like stab a knife or some shit like that. And then she can have sex after that because her brain isn't loud.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, bro. All for sex, yeah. Well, more than sex, it's like dumbed down pleasure. Like, she'll like she kept doing it to where like she'll watch Love Island and like jerk off on the couch.
SPEAKER_02To Love Island?
SPEAKER_06Just both and eating junk food, and then it's like, ah, let me go masturbate.
SPEAKER_02Yo, what is this show? This can have to be young. This could have to be a show that I watch in private.
SPEAKER_06No, we be having watch for me.
SPEAKER_01Like that's an orgy. You're having our orgies. Hopefully enough of that.
SPEAKER_06Shot because you'll be looking at this, you'll be engaged, and then a nigga just explodes, and anybody's like, whoa, didn't like Seth Rogan.
SPEAKER_01Seth Rogan was in the show too. Of course he would.
SPEAKER_02Likely place for him to be.
SPEAKER_03No, he was in the show.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that makes sense. Yeah. That makes sense that he produces the show.
SPEAKER_03He was in the show just to die. Quite literally, a character ran straight through him.
SPEAKER_02Didn't he produce that fucked up sausage party movie too? So that makes a lot of sense.
SPEAKER_06He also produced Invincible.
SPEAKER_02Just a tip. Oh, I've heard. Um pause. Pause.
SPEAKER_04That's what that's what the hot dog said, bro. Dang me.
SPEAKER_02I've heard that that Invincible show is good too. It's really solid. I was just telling him about it. Yeah, Seth Rogan at the scene of the crime, apparently.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Don't let him touch euphoria. It's gonna be even worse than it already is.
SPEAKER_06I mean, no, because the studio's pretty good, if you've ever seen on Apple.
SPEAKER_02It's on my list because my coworker Lara is always like talking about how good it is, and I love Katherine Hahn. So one of these days.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. She goes crazy on that show.
SPEAKER_02I bet you you think that. I bet you think that.
SPEAKER_06I mean, hey, hold on now. Hold on now.
SPEAKER_02He said you're the milkman, so.
SPEAKER_06Nah, it's not all. There's a double entendre to that, but I'm not getting into that. It's more, it's it's more than milk. It's more than milk. It's deeper than milk.
SPEAKER_02Your man's is looking at you crazy.
SPEAKER_03Deeper than milk is wild.
SPEAKER_02I'm just kidding, with you, man. I'm just kidding. I do love Captain Hunt. She was good in Agatha all along.
SPEAKER_06She was, yo. She nobody knows.
SPEAKER_02Earn Aubrey Plaza made a good pair in the world.
SPEAKER_03I mean, she didn't Captainnings, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02Oof. Who's the milkman now? Oof.
SPEAKER_03Uh, she's Jewish. That's the that's the problem.
SPEAKER_02What's the color of her skin? Am I confused?
SPEAKER_07A baddie.
SPEAKER_02Cat Dennings is gorgeous. She is. Facts. I saw her. Um, what was that? Oh, yeah, she was in uh WandaVision, wasn't she?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I forgot about that.
SPEAKER_02That's where I know her from. I know she was in that other show.
SPEAKER_06And uh, she was in that Tim Allen show now.
SPEAKER_02Wasn't she at Two Pro Girls? Is that what it's called? I know that's what she's really known for. I've never seen it.
SPEAKER_03Congrats to fucking Miley Cyrus for getting her star, even though you gotta pay for that shit.
SPEAKER_02See that's not a real Miley. We sorry, Marley, we sorry. That's pure hate. How many people got they star? You called her out?
SPEAKER_03I'm just educating the people. Now we say that's it. I'm just educating the people.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you could just say congratulations, Hannah Montana. She's having a great year.
SPEAKER_03She is having a great year, even though.
SPEAKER_06What else has she been doing this year?
SPEAKER_03I mean, the special, that's all.
SPEAKER_02Damn. Damn. Listen, it could have been longer. There could have been, like, I would have preferred to see the original cast, all a part of it, but I think Emily Osman is so like past Hannah Montana. She's got a good idea. She had a scheduling.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it was a scheduled comedy.
SPEAKER_02So she's doing good. I loved her and young and hungry. Like Emily been working. Um I like the special for what it was. For me, it was it tapped into what it needed to, which was my nostalgia. Like I was a big Hannah Montana girly. So I I enjoyed it for what it was.
SPEAKER_03So once I found out that they basically wasn't gonna do it until she went on the carpet and it was just like, oh yeah, something's coming.
SPEAKER_02Stally Parton's like, girl, just keep saying it's happening and eventually Disney will get on board.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, after that, I was like, okay, cool. Glad it got on board, but it it sucked. So I'm like, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02I don't think it sucked. I think that they could have made it longer and added.
SPEAKER_03Are you gonna watch it again?
SPEAKER_02I might. To be honest, I really loved Hannah Montana. Here y'all go, Here y'all go. I wish I had my own little button. Here y'all go. No, like for real. I'm a big Hannah Montana. You hear how I'm being this is how you treat your guests crazy. Number one. Number two, I you guys didn't know me back then. Like I really was. Like my 10th birthday cake was a Hannah Montana cake with her face on it, my nigga. I love Hannah Montana.
SPEAKER_03I love Hannah Montana too. I was the only black nigga in the fucking crowd full of mayo tears.
SPEAKER_01Mayo tears is crazy.
SPEAKER_03When I went to go see the fucking 3D concert, you saw that shit.
SPEAKER_02I get down about Hannah Montana. But I might like one day I might be in the mood to like relive my nostalgia and I could put it on.
SPEAKER_06Like I love nostalgia bait though.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, me too. It got me. I agree with you though. There could have been things that they made better. They could have made it longer, could have had the original cast come back. It was very Miley Cyrus centered, but she is Hannah Montana, so I can't fully be mad at that.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, maybe they could have waited for uh a 30 year to get the original cast back, but I'm but I'm glad she's getting her flowers so she can still smell them. I'm not mad at you.
SPEAKER_03Let's be fair. Let's be fair. Like you can't like not fuck with Hannah Montana when there's shit like this, bro. You kidding me?
SPEAKER_06The fuck is this?
SPEAKER_03Don't do that. Don't do that.
SPEAKER_06Three episodes of Hannah Montana. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Uncultured spawn?
SPEAKER_06I'm uncultured.
SPEAKER_02You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_06It's the wait a minute, wait a minute.
SPEAKER_02One thing, Miley Cyrus, if you're listening, you need to put in the the versions of the songs that you did from the special. Like, I need to hear this is the life in her matured tone. She smoked that. So they're dropping the ball, but not doing that.
SPEAKER_03That's enough milk talk for me.
SPEAKER_06This guy.
SPEAKER_03Yo, can you explain to me this TikTok and UMG shit?
SPEAKER_06So basically, uh fuck, fuck, fuck, wait. Let me get it.
SPEAKER_03And also not only that, but the Netflix and UMG. Why is UMG doing so much shit? You lose Drake, now you want to do bad shit.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I heard apparently they're losing money, and Drake, if he does leave the label, that's like 40% profits being gone.
SPEAKER_02I'm sure he's a moneymaker, but they also have other big moneymakers. Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, the weekend.
SPEAKER_03Let's be fair though. Let's let's with all three artists that you just mentioned. Taylor just got married and she can only make songs about her.
SPEAKER_02She ain't married yet, nigga.
SPEAKER_03She's about to get married and she can only make songs about her exes.
SPEAKER_02That's why I think either she's not gonna get married or she's gonna get divorced so that that that album is gonna bang.
SPEAKER_03And if she yeah, that's gonna be the best album she ever dropped. She needed divorce him.
SPEAKER_02He's not a good muse. I ain't been fucking with the music since they've been together. No disrespect.
SPEAKER_06Because she's in love.
SPEAKER_02And some artists, like I said, don't know how to create good work out of like happier feelings.
SPEAKER_03Kendrick, we don't know when that nigga's dropping again.
SPEAKER_02He's inconsistent. Well, we knew.
SPEAKER_03Who was the other person you saw it?
SPEAKER_02I said Ariana Grande.
SPEAKER_03Oh, she's about to drop. So she's on a roster.
SPEAKER_02The weekend's about to drop too, because he's been teasing something.
SPEAKER_03The weekend's about to drop?
unknownI think so.
SPEAKER_02I think so. He's been teasing something on that alternate IG page of his. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Damn, that second album, that last album wasn't it? He said he fucking lied.
SPEAKER_03I I feel like this is gonna be the album that he just changes his name and be like, I'm able, yeah.
SPEAKER_02He's been teasing that for a minute.
SPEAKER_06Um, basically, they're building the new deal, also extends TikTok and UMG's groundbreaking commitment to AI protections that promote human artistry and insure platform economics effectively flow through to artists and songwriters. So TikTok will be work TikTok and UMG will be working together to remove unauthorized AI-generated music from the platform while furthering and improving artists and songwriters' attributions.
SPEAKER_02I thought it was the other way around. So I know that's the right.
SPEAKER_06That's kind of the uh there is the beauty in AR because certain uh corporate employments tell you that you can use this like a tool. Like, don't run from it, use it to advance like what I just did, trying to figure out what's wrong with something. Like, okay, well, why is this? Instead of doing YouTube videos and Google search and all this shit, you can just ask Chat GBT like why is something flashing green.
SPEAKER_03And again, I'm way too honest, audience. I should have stopped again. I ain't gonna lie to you.
SPEAKER_06Don't know what's going on. My bad, broken state. No, but that was a good example of, you know, and I just searched up on chat why this should stop recording, and it gave us like eight different reasons why. The reasons why stated weren't the reasons for this, but it's a process, you know.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like back to what I was saying before everything cut off. Like me and him did use AI to start off everything, but as soon as like we kind of just got everything started, we just stopped using that shit. So I don't mind AI as a tool. I just don't like that everybody's just trying to make like slop and trying to like recreate, like replace humans, which is my problem with it. Yeah, and yeah, or your reasoning on you know Malcolm X having waves and shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like it's unnecessary, and then you're just depleting, you know, necessary resources for poorer communities when you use this. Um, I'm I I hate AI so much I'm not there yet with it. Like, if it's in technology that I have to use that I can't get away from, then it is what it is.
SPEAKER_03But it's just unfortunate because like even a job that we have, like they're trying to implement it, and it's like I get it, but at the same time, like there's kind of no need for it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I agree. As long as you have human hands, you don't you don't need it for what we do.
SPEAKER_06I do I do fuck with with the way my job uses it because they integrate it, they integrated co-pilot into the database. So say if you're looking for a file or some shit like that, you can go and copile and be like where's the documentation on this, and it'll give you all the docs on the specific thing that you're looking for. So it has its ups and downs. Do I feel like it's definitely useless in certain factors? Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03If it wasn't for the fact that it can literally end humanity, I'd I'd probably be fine with it. You know what I mean? But because of that fact, I'm kind of like, yeah, you guys are pushing AI, and it's like it's humans that are helping push this AI, not realizing that, like, yo, this shit is going to replace you if you let it. Like, y'all niggas never seen X Machino?
SPEAKER_02It could get spooky. Like if you if they let it, but you know, humans, we never learn.
SPEAKER_03So But talking about more fun things because AI is hikey depressing.
SPEAKER_06I mean, the way the way they're about to use uh the way Yonji and TikTok want to use AI, they just want to integrate and make things easier for the artist. Which I guess factors into it factors into better product, if you do think about it, if they're making stuff more accessible for artists, artists and artistry in general. And if you are trying to get rid of AI replicated things or AI generated music so other artists can get their notoriety, I feel like I feel as though that like it's kind of like a like a huge downfall for them though, no?
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah because like putting into perspective everything that Umg is doing, like you're selling your catalog to Spotify, you're fucking doing this AI shit with TikTok, like you're literally begging to keep your company alive at this point.
SPEAKER_02Well, I always knew that Drake would be like a huge loss for them.
SPEAKER_03But I didn't think it was gonna be that.
SPEAKER_02I think I think they make so much money, it's a loss for them. I don't think Drake leaving totally bankrupts them, though. I think they'll be fine because there's a lot of artists that fall under their umbrella. Sabrina Carpenter is included in that because she's now a moneymaker for them.
SPEAKER_03I didn't even realize she was on UMG.
SPEAKER_02She's Island and uh they're gonna be like, Island is a brand under UMG. So a lot of more people are are fall under that umbrella than you think because it's UMG and it's Sony and Baby Warner. Yeah, that's a big thing. Um, and you know, whatever UMG doesn't have, Sony has. Beyonce's Park word Columbia Sony. So um whatever Um G doesn't have, Sony has for the most part. So UMG will be okay. It's still a loss for them. They'll be fine.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So like I'm about to implement a new segment because audience, we be having way too many topics for y'all. And as of right now, I'm looking at a few, and I'm just gonna say it. We're gonna go with do you give a fuck about this or not? Okay, that's the new segment. Do you give a fuck about this or not?
SPEAKER_02Alright, let's go.
SPEAKER_03So the Kevin Hart roast.
SPEAKER_02I didn't even watch it.
SPEAKER_06I didn't watch it only because they were letting it was a racist, letting the racist shit fly too much, and he was looking like a coon.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, certain black comedians are too comfortable with that.
SPEAKER_06Certain ones. Yeah, but it's the ones that are already like uh dare I say like whitewash, unfortunately.
SPEAKER_02And Kevin Hart is trending in that way. Yeah, that was a good thing. They had my they had my they had my lady Regina Hall around a bunch of coonery. Yeah, get her out of there.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, granted, I will say racist jokes are fucked up, but like some of them was kind of funny.
SPEAKER_02Some of them can be funny, but I don't think I'm I'm I'm very strict about race. I don't find any of that shit funny.
SPEAKER_06Only because the 2000s, I let shit skate, but I ain't even gonna lie, the George Floyd ones and shit like that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like shit like that, I don't I don't fuck with at all. But you're you're talking to somebody that watched South Park since they was five years old.
SPEAKER_06True.
SPEAKER_03There's some things that I'm just like, yo, that's fucked up. But it's funny. Yeah, you know what I mean? Like, there's only some things that are like that, not everything, because it can look tacky too if you don't do it right. Yeah, like it's like in a situation, I just don't think you can actually in a situation where you're in a room with a whole bunch of white comedians, and these are your white comedians that you're supposedly supposed to call your peers, it's fucked up. Like it's it's heavily fucked up.
SPEAKER_02I think when you are black, you should never let white people feel that comfortable that they can make that kind of joke around you. But when you do, I look at you crazy because this is what you what do you allow in the closed doors?
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03As much as that is true, sorry, that's where entertainment comes from.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03As much as it's true, that's where entertainment comes from. That's why we're sitting here watching shit like euphoria, where you have a Nazi joke and that shit's not funny. No, man. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02No, and I'm surprised that Zinday, I know she's under contract. I wonder really what she thinks. Because there's no way she's okay with it based off of how we know she conducts herself. Yeah, no way she's okay with this.
SPEAKER_06Well, they said she's been leaving a set every time her like they're you're done filming my scenes. Alright, I'm getting the fuck away from Sydney Sweeney, I'm getting the fuck away from you, you fucking weird creature.
SPEAKER_03I mean, they they've been saying that, but I feel like that was more. I mean, it could be behind the set drama, but I feel like it was more because she has four roles that she's literally.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well that's that's part of the reason too that the show's not going well. Yeah, you can't make a good show when the cast can't film together. Like Jacob Alorty, I don't think I think you only shot with Sidney Sweeney and then the wedding scene with some of them others. Like, um, but yeah, that's just how I am. I'm very strict about race. I don't play that shit. Oh no, it's just where I stand, yeah. And I had a feeling before when they were promoting it. I'm like, I don't think this is something I'm gonna end up enjoying.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, trust me, I got an hour in, and as soon as Lizzo came out, Lizzo was there, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03Lizzo came out with with a performance with a whole bunch of little people, basically. Oh, okay. Yeah, to make fun of Kevin's height, essentially.
SPEAKER_02Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um after that, I kind of just turned it off. I was just like, this is just getting too much. Like, there's a point where it's like it is too much for me.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um, yeah, that it was kind of just like a waste of time to fully watch the entire thing.
SPEAKER_02I'm glad I didn't put any support behind watching it. I had a feeling that that's where that was gonna go.
SPEAKER_06I mean, roast used to be fucking hilarious, though.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I like the Justin Bieber roach. Uh roast yeah, roasts were hilarious, but like they were all race-based. You know what I mean? They were true, because there's one joke I didn't like and the white people shit don't count. Y'all niggas don't have a race. That shit don't count. You feel me? But everything else, like every time there's a roast, is always like they have to literally kick you at the most bottom of the bottom.
SPEAKER_02And I feel like you're not funny if that's how you have to do it. That's my personal opinion. If race has to come into it, you have to make a joke, quote unquote, about someone's race, it's it's like uh like low barrel.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like there were certain things, like, for example, um Sherry. I think her name is Sherry, not Siri, fucking Siri. That was funny.
SPEAKER_02You saw that, right?
SPEAKER_03Um waiting for a time to shine. I think her name is Sherry Underwood.
SPEAKER_02Yes, Cheryl. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Cheryl Underwood, yeah. Like, I'm pretty sure they talked to her about it before they did it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that joke about her husband?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like the suicide jokes about her husband. Oh, it's like that's not funny. It's really not. Like, even if she's laughing, it's not funny. It's not funny.
SPEAKER_02And I think she spoke out after and said she did feel a little uncomfortable. Like, who would it? That's why I'm saying, like, comedy circuits not for me. Because as soon as you start talking like that, like about anything I have going on like that, I don't want to joke anymore. We can talk outside.
SPEAKER_06You don't gotta make jokes that low though.
SPEAKER_02That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_03It's you know you don't have to make jokes that low. However, that's how the rose has always been.
SPEAKER_02That's why I don't really watch them like that. Like, I watched the Justin Bieber one. The only joke that I side-eyed was the Mexican joke about Selena Gomez, which I didn't think was cool. Um but roasts aren't really my thing because they have that edge.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. It just this shit seemed kind of tacky. No, I don't give a fuck about it.
SPEAKER_03Like, let's see, like um, Lady Gaga and Apple Music live performance.
SPEAKER_02I don't really give a fuck. I like Lady Gaga, but you know, I don't really know.
SPEAKER_06I didn't see I probably would though, now that I'm aware of it.
SPEAKER_03David's new fucking evidence. What evidence does he have now? Oh that I'm not sure. I care about it.
SPEAKER_02I care about that because he's a sick motherfucker.
SPEAKER_06Oh, I said, oh, is his his trial is delayed because of new evidence, but they're not saying what the evidence is.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that case is real, like that kept me up at night a little bit. That was a really sick what he's accused of, I should say.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Accused.
SPEAKER_02Well, listen, off the mic. But to be proper, what he's accused of doing is some real sick shit.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I personally believe he did what he's accused of, but I'm saying accused because you gotta you gotta go through the trial.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um I ain't saying accused of shit.
SPEAKER_06That's that's you. That's you.
SPEAKER_02Look, I'm not judging that. I'm just saying for me, I'm just gonna say accused, but I personally believe he did it. And I think it's disgusting. And it that was one of the cases that really like upset me.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like, that's just and I do think it's interesting the tone of his lawyers has changed now that they have all these the all the evidence they say they have already that's been revealed, like the stuff from his phone, and now saying there's even more evidence. Like the smug little tone that his lawyers had at first has now changed. Oh, like they have some varato, they have some varato to a they did, like like, oh, like y'all don't, y'all are bluffing, y'all don't have nothing, this is all hearsay, and then they said, Oh, this is what was in his phone.
SPEAKER_06We might be coked.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, there's no feasible way to defend this nigga.
SPEAKER_02No, death penalty. And I don't I'm not someone that largely believes in that, but when you do things against crimes against children, yeah, nah. Death. Yeah, that's all like no, there's no jail that can rehabilitate that.
SPEAKER_06Yes. And another episode where we are fucked David.
unknownWoo!
SPEAKER_03Yo, it's been fuck David, bro. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02This is like I didn't even know who the nigga was until this came up. Funny.
SPEAKER_03Which is kind of like crazy. Like, I know he has a song in Invincible.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, he got that song that was in the middle. Oh, he did? Yeah, yeah. That's just hot. I ain't gonna lie to you. But I I I took it out. I don't wanna fucking help him in the stream.
SPEAKER_02The fact that his stream is winning. I know where you were going with that, and yes, they do.
SPEAKER_03What? Wait, who?
SPEAKER_02What? Are you gonna bleak me if I say it? I was gonna say Oh, that's not who I thought you were gonna say.
SPEAKER_03What do you think I was gonna say?
SPEAKER_02And that's what I thought you were gonna say. I'm like, no, let them rot.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. They need to I get black people try to justify him too because he got the slaps, but I don't give a fuck.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, nah. Don't give a fuck.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I agree.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and this is someone that like grew up listening to his music. Both. I should say both. Yeah. Because you know, in New York that's a staple. Um, but nah. You can't hit make your way out of some famous shit. Sing out of this shit, motherfucker. Yeah, exactly. Like, uh, who is it that said you c uh Kendrick? You can't too see slide your way out of this one, nigga.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, nah.
SPEAKER_02You can't take that, take that.
unknownNah.
SPEAKER_03It's funny. It's so funny though, because like you can keep that nigga locked up, but like what about Usher, bro?
SPEAKER_06What about Usher?
SPEAKER_03Usher and his bro.
SPEAKER_02Like, listen, that was a murder. That wasn't the murder. Wait, wait, wait. Usher, don't don't even ignore this man, you know. Ignore him. Um, yeah, that's a whole deeper conversation, all of that. But like, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Lockdown to go.
SPEAKER_06That's not confirmed.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's not confirmed.
SPEAKER_03If I hear a yell on this tour, Lock Dunn again.
SPEAKER_06Oh, nah. Get out of here.
SPEAKER_02You just need an air now. He said this nigga got a hit too bad. I don't want to hear it anymore.
SPEAKER_06Yo, right, that's a hit. He he don't like that song. Hey, so what? What's next?
SPEAKER_02You don't like DJ got us falling in love again? You don't like that? No, that's his home. No, that's bad. Okay, what about OMG? How do you feel about that?
SPEAKER_03What was it?
SPEAKER_02OMG.
SPEAKER_03OMG. What will I am? I'm kind of over that song, too.
SPEAKER_06That might have not aged well. I haven't heard it.
SPEAKER_02I still like it.
SPEAKER_03It didn't age well at all to me.
SPEAKER_02I like it still. It's dated, but I like it. I like both.
SPEAKER_06All right. I like dated shit when it's 2010. So we were trying shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, some yeah, sometimes it's just nostalgia. Like it can be two things can be true. It can be dated and it can still be good. It's just dated. You couldn't.
SPEAKER_03I just don't want to hear yeah again. If I hear it in one more movie, I might fucking jump off the biggest. That's hate.
SPEAKER_02That's hate. That's hey. Because that's one of his biggest hits. You're gonna hear, yeah.
SPEAKER_03You're gonna hear it.
SPEAKER_02So you might as well go to the bathroom during that, nigga, because you're hearing, yeah.
SPEAKER_06And Chris Brown's gonna be in the fucking air at the same time.
SPEAKER_03Oh, the fair words.
SPEAKER_02You might hear yeah, three times. It might be a little mashup.
SPEAKER_06Damn, I like what you did there.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, three times is kind of hard. We'll be honest. Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02So, yeah, so yeah, four times, nigga. How about that? Four times. That's the mashup name.
SPEAKER_03Uh, I don't believe in this, but last Friday dropped in spring 2027.
SPEAKER_06They sound so sure of it, and they never had a date in actual plot. They never revealed the plot. It's always like Ice Cube's like, I wrote this script, it was about this, but it got rejected. Now they're like, we're coming spring 2027. The plot is about our neighborhood getting gentrified, and that's that's a interesting plot.
SPEAKER_02Uh, I have been hearing this rumor about this dropping every year for the last 10 years, so like I'll believe it when I see it actually.
SPEAKER_03This rumor, I mean, as Rich said, like, this is the only time that we got a date. So I'm like, oh, okay, I guess I maybe believe it.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna be real. I've seen the first two, I have not seen. Three? I haven't seen the three.
SPEAKER_03You don't have to.
SPEAKER_06Whoa!
SPEAKER_02During Christmas time? Yes, you do. I heard it's kind of whack.
SPEAKER_06Nah, yo, that it's a hood classic, yo.
SPEAKER_02Like, there's just those can be hit or miss, though, hood classics.
SPEAKER_03It's funny, but it's Friday after next is not that good, bro. That's what it's called. I'm gonna get baby D on you, bro.
SPEAKER_06You gotta ask a cookie.
SPEAKER_03Um Do we give a fuck that D12?
SPEAKER_06Why the fuck did you put D12 forever dropping Juneteenth?
SPEAKER_03Because they have a project called. So I guess you got your answer.
SPEAKER_02You just got your answer.
SPEAKER_03Here's my here. Okay, I don't care. I don't mind that it's dropping. I get it. Legacy group, whatever dropping.
SPEAKER_02Is this Eminem's D12?
SPEAKER_03Yes. Yeah. Man, what's the last time we're gonna do it? Why are you dropping it on Juneteenth out of all days?
SPEAKER_07Crazy.
SPEAKER_02Is it a fully white group?
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02I was never really into them. There's the one song that they have on the.
SPEAKER_03I actually think the whitest one was Eminem.
SPEAKER_02Eminem did love to surround himself with black people. That's been true his whole career. So I'm not trying.
SPEAKER_06I'm not part of the culture, though. Like, come on.
SPEAKER_02He is a part of the culture. Oh, you don't have to sell me. Donnie knows how to get down about M. Like, I'm I'm a fan.
SPEAKER_03He's part of the culture, but like you don't gotta drop, you don't you couldn't drop on white people.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's an excuse. Like, remember, you're part of the culture, but know your place. Like, you don't ever get too comfortable, don't matter how many gems Ebadem done gave us.
SPEAKER_03Like, y'all niggas couldn't drop May 18th? Like, it's like any other time.
SPEAKER_02So May 19th is like for the white people. I guess, yo. May 19th.
SPEAKER_03They try to take everything else from us.
SPEAKER_02Where's where they have B-E-T. Where's W-E-T? I'm like, nobody wants wet, nigga. Get the fuck out of here. Nobody wants wet. Get out of here.
SPEAKER_06So brothers watched W E T or some shit like that.
SPEAKER_02And I'm pretty sure for a long time, like the owner of B E T was white.
SPEAKER_06No, they still are.
SPEAKER_02Oh, there you go.
SPEAKER_06Huge Jewish corporation, but got it.
SPEAKER_01Got it.
SPEAKER_03They're gonna make WHO white homies only.
SPEAKER_01White homies is crazy.
SPEAKER_06It's just gonna be Tommy's spinoff on fucking new thing.
SPEAKER_02Yo, yo, I that's the one power book I will never watch.
SPEAKER_06He has a black brother on there.
SPEAKER_02So? They let Tommy, I don't know if y'all peep that. They let Tommy slip and say the N-word in an episode of the original Power. I'm like, I know this.
SPEAKER_06How do you sound when he say it though? Like he had some flowers. Crazy.
SPEAKER_02They always sound crazy. Yeah, but they always sound crazy when they say it. And I was like, who let that? And I felt like it was ad-libbed because he said it Matt Wyatt. I rewound it. I'm like, no, he said nigga. Someone slapped this this man.
SPEAKER_03Yo, imagine quietly saying nigga.
SPEAKER_02Like, you know what? Fuck you.
SPEAKER_03Nigga.
unknownNigga.
SPEAKER_02So he was itching to have a black, they was itching to give him a black relative so bad.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, he has a. I guess his mom had a black son or some shit. It was some shit.
SPEAKER_02Is he older than Tommy?
SPEAKER_06He's younger. Younger, okay. His younger black brother.
SPEAKER_02Do they look alike? Because white and black people can look like each other if they have similar features. So did they do that right at least?
SPEAKER_06Make it believable. I don't know. I didn't see the show.
SPEAKER_02Good. I don't I feel like I don't know many people that are watching this shit.
SPEAKER_03You know what's been fucking me up for real though?
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_03Those fucking AI videos where they show you like celebrities in different countries.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. I've never seen that level once.
SPEAKER_03There was one, like, there was one where it was Chris Brown. There was like, this is Russian Brown. This is Dianese Brown. I'm scared, bro.
SPEAKER_02I'm scared of Russian Brown.
SPEAKER_01I don't want that.
SPEAKER_03And they all look the same.
SPEAKER_01Like it's like I don't want Russian Brown, please. That sounds like something.
SPEAKER_06Uh Russian brown sounds crazy.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03I'm only laughing because I just like I just bought cut water the other day. First time?
SPEAKER_01Those will get you fucked up. Boy, two of them.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, first time. You done. But it was the white Russian. And that's why I was like, first of all, the White Russian is lit.
SPEAKER_02You gotta have them lemon drops.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I haven't had that one yet.
SPEAKER_02You gotta get that. You get two of them things? Yeah. White Russians. Who are you? I forgot what it was.
SPEAKER_03Yo, I was in the store and I'm like, yo, this is way too many fucking flavors. Like, I don't I can't fucking choose.
SPEAKER_02But white Russian out of all of them is.
SPEAKER_03No, no, I literally just asked the lady because I was I was planning on buying like four different flavors anyway. Uh-huh. So I was like asking the lady, I'm like, yo, which ones are the best ones? Was she white? That's not the point.
SPEAKER_06I want to get you, baby.
SPEAKER_03I fuck with that white Russia, and I ain't gonna hold you. That's it.
SPEAKER_02That's that Hannah Montana side coming at it.
SPEAKER_03What the fuck?
SPEAKER_06Once he opened the box, that shit came off.
SPEAKER_03But that's why I started laughing at fucking Russian Brown.
SPEAKER_06That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Uh Rick and Morty movie. Do y'all give a fuck about that?
SPEAKER_02I'm not into Rick and Morty. I've never seen it, so I've never seen it. I don't have a yeah. So I don't have a real opinion.
SPEAKER_06It's phrase too funny. It's really I've heard it's good.
SPEAKER_02It was just something I never like watched. I mean it just passed me by.
SPEAKER_03It's funny for like the first few seasons, then it kind of like drags out.
SPEAKER_06Uh once they they had that drag out. I know you're talking about that middle, but towards like the past recent seasons, then stories like continuity now. Okay.
SPEAKER_02So how do you feel about them doing a movie then, if you feel that way?
SPEAKER_03I just I don't I mean, I'm gonna watch it. Of course, but like do I really know what the fuck they can come up with? They can come up with some shit though.
SPEAKER_06It's just gonna be a long ass episode.
SPEAKER_02And it's still on, it's still running.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's like it's like the kids' version of Family Guy. Like this shit's gonna have thousands of things. And Simpsons?
SPEAKER_02And Simpsons, yeah, exactly. Yeah, like the Simpsons.
SPEAKER_06I just can't wait until they uh shade the characters, give it that little uh shadow thing that they do when the TV. You know when the cartoon gets the movie and they start shading the city. Oh yeah, yeah, make them more lifelike, right? Yeah, I know what you mean. Like with the Simpsons movie, and they just get that little shadow shade in the background. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03So like I'ma just pause this whole entire fucking section. Crazy. And we're gonna go to a new fucking section where it's rich shits on MGK. Go ahead, bro.
SPEAKER_06Nah, actually, I didn't have it. Actually, it must be opposite day because I really did like the song that him and Wiz Cleafa dropped. Oh shit! Oh my god! This guy off me.
SPEAKER_02He's so excited. I didn't even listen because he knows I cannot say it sounds good. I heard a little bit. I'm cool.
SPEAKER_06I saw the video, the video kind of got me.
SPEAKER_02I think that's a sometimes a video can change your mind on a record. Like you're like, eh, and then you see the music video and you get the video.
SPEAKER_03So I'm not gonna lie. The only reason that like I'm gonna listen to anything the MGK drops, but the only reason, shut up. The only reason that I went to go listen to this specifically is because of Mind of a Stoner. Like, that was my shit back in like 2011.
SPEAKER_06Is that an MGK project? It's a Wiz and Wiz and MGK.
SPEAKER_03So basically, Wiz and MGK. Yeah. Wiz and MGK came out with Mind of a Stoner back in like 2011. And then they stayed friends, but they never made music again. So this project is like the first time that they made music together and like.
SPEAKER_02And MGK's rapping on it, right?
SPEAKER_03Uh only like one song.
SPEAKER_02I was gonna say, because you know Eminem. Oh, that shit came out and uh chased him out. So he got over that fear?
SPEAKER_06Oh my god. That shit came out?
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, yeah. The whole project is. Yeah, yeah. Now, did the single come out before the project? Was that like a lead single for them?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, there were two singles that came out for them before.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I like Wiz though, but not enough to sit through MGK.
SPEAKER_03I like Wiz. I like Wiz, but like not enough to go through like all six of the projects that he dropped this year. Six?
SPEAKER_02The nigga put out six?
SPEAKER_03He put out a lot, yo.
SPEAKER_02I knew he was like back outside, but I didn't think he dropped six.
SPEAKER_06Yo, he dropped like he dropped one with currency, he dropped two with currency.
SPEAKER_02And is he independent at this point? Yeah, but he's gotta be, right? So was this back to back months, back to back weeks?
SPEAKER_03I think it was back to back months.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like I think Snoop kind of just helped him out and kind of figuring out like how to stay independent.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Well, like, look, I'm gonna keep that same energy that I had for Drake. There's just such a thing as too much. You gotta let your music breathe. Six projects is crazy.
SPEAKER_06Damn, he had two more projects before that. Yo, Donnie's not joking on one.
SPEAKER_03This nigga dropped like six projects. Yeah, that's too much.
SPEAKER_06Four, five, six. Oh, damn, he dropped six projects. Yeah, that's too much.
SPEAKER_02Even if you really like the nigga, that's too much. You gotta let your fans like, you gotta let it breathe.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and that's what I that's what I low-key hate now with um streaming, because I don't want to see, I don't want to I don't want artists to come back six months later with a deluxe of more songs or something like that.
SPEAKER_02Right, like I'm still sitting with like your original work, like I'm still cool with it. Like, I didn't get over it unless you your album has to suck that bad for me to be over it in six months.
SPEAKER_06And at that point, that's not your fault. Like, what else you had?
SPEAKER_03Betty Boop.
SPEAKER_06Let's talk about it.
SPEAKER_03Honestly, shout out to Quinta. I love Quinta. I didn't know she was producing, too, though.
SPEAKER_02You know, I saw a side-by-side that someone did of her, and she got the look.
SPEAKER_03She got the look.
SPEAKER_02She does got the look, and I love Quinta, so I'm not sure. Did you know?
SPEAKER_03Oh no, we love Quinta here.
SPEAKER_06Did you know Betty was uh black?
SPEAKER_02I did not know that.
SPEAKER_06So hold on. Wait, really? Yeah. That's uh I was on a heavy uh last year.
SPEAKER_02Which is crazy because I'm waiting for the comments to be like, why they gotta make everything black now.
SPEAKER_06I I on one of the comments, I was like, Yeah, let's make it black again. That shit got like mad likes. I was like, okay, so people know this.
SPEAKER_03Yo, you know what's crazy? I hate when people say shit like that, like, oh, why we gotta make them black? Because yo. When I was younger, like my younger cousin, I didn't know Hello Kitty was white. I only seen a black Hello Kitty my entire life. Really? Yeah. Until I found out that Hello Kitty was actually white.
SPEAKER_06Hello Kitty's Asian.
SPEAKER_03I mean, like the color of the fucking shit and fucking dick.
SPEAKER_02He tried to call you out. He tried to be like, see how he's whitewashing that Asian character.
SPEAKER_03Like, nigga, this thing Iron Fist. Hey, yo, that was crazy.
SPEAKER_02But yo, shout out, yeah, shout out to Quinta though. Like, I I I've been a fan for a long time. I watched the Black Lady sketch show for her, you know, specifically before she branched out with Abbott. So I'm happy to see her continue acting.
SPEAKER_03I didn't know much about Quinta before Abbott besides BuzzFeed. Yeah. Like I knew her mainly for BuzzFeed.
SPEAKER_02Got it. I think a lot of people did, to be fair.
SPEAKER_06I just remember her from a large.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_06This is the lady. Her name is Esther Jones.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I have seen her before. She looks familiar.
SPEAKER_03So, like I seen her, but I didn't realize like they made Betty Boop off of her.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But it makes sense.
SPEAKER_06And then they just white watch.
SPEAKER_02Of course. I mean, she was already light skinned, so it didn't take much to take.
SPEAKER_06Right?
SPEAKER_02It was like, let's just clean her up a little bit.
SPEAKER_06That's insane. That's the that's the hairstyle she used to rob.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, that's that's that's her.
SPEAKER_06So yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Like I said, I'm I will watch anything Quinta produces or has a hand.
SPEAKER_03Not only that, but I love that as the dark-skinned like woman.
SPEAKER_02I'm I'm glad we're starting to see a little bit more like of that representation.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Quinta's yeah, and then if we look at Quinta's short hair now, yeah.
SPEAKER_02She's been soft like launching this. When you think about it, because I was like, she got the short, she got the short due for a bit. Like I was curious about that. And so when that news came out, that made sense. What you got next?
SPEAKER_03Did you listen to it?
SPEAKER_06What? Which one you got next, yo?
SPEAKER_03One of the best RB albums I heard in a minute.
SPEAKER_02Talk that talk, because it's true.
SPEAKER_06Oh, I did actually. I didn't hear the whole thing. I heard every tracks.
SPEAKER_03I went to go listen to it yesterday. I don't know who hurt him.
SPEAKER_02Thank God though. Yo. Thank God. Because that album from the beginning, when I when like I'm I'm not counting the the deluxe tracks, some of those were cool. From Jezebel onward, I saved almost every song. Like that, like Donnie said, outside of Kaylani, one of the best RB albums.
SPEAKER_03And like I'm low-key mad that I slept on it last year.
SPEAKER_02Me too. Because I didn't have time for it. So much was going on. I didn't have time to sit through it.
SPEAKER_06I had to wasn't gonna be here.
SPEAKER_03I had the time for it, but like there was too many things. I think me and him was talking about it last season as well. Like, sometimes just his fucking voice.
SPEAKER_02Like his putting you to sleep. Is that what you mean? Like, yeah, bro. Give me on forgive them. I get what you I will say, you gotta be in the mood sometimes. Certain artists, you gotta be in the mood to hear it, and I was in that mood. Um, I will say this album solidified that Giveon for me personally is an album artist, someone that like is gonna be worth to listen top to bottom.
SPEAKER_03He also had like a very rough start because it was kind of one of those things where it was like he dropped Heartbreak Anniversary. It was one of the first TikTok songs in that realm to really do it. And that was a good project.
SPEAKER_02That was a good project outside of even that one.
SPEAKER_03Um then he like disappeared.
SPEAKER_02Well, he disappeared to like uh well he like to be fair, he hopped up on a couple of features, the Justin Bieber one being the most notable one with the Peaches. So he was still kind of around. Like if you were an RB head, you were hearing him on those albums. Like he was working with Snow Allegra, stuff like that. So he didn't fully disappear. But I feel like give or take, which I think is technically his debut album, didn't get the love to Take Time. Take time. So, oh yeah, yeah, you're right. Take time, I think, was a combination of his EPs. I don't think so. Yeah, but I consider give or take kind of Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Give or take was good, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And that had some good songs on there. Uh, I think it's uh what is it, Unholy Matrimony? That's like one of his best records ever.
SPEAKER_06Oh, it's an outro track, too.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, it's one of the best. Like, y'all need to let that rock because it's a really good song. Um but I just feel like it just didn't get the love. Kind of like beloved, kind of got swept up under around other albums, even this deluxe. I mean, he came out the same, the deluxe came out the same day as Drake, right?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, May 15th, the fuck. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So he has bad timing.
SPEAKER_06How dare he?
SPEAKER_02I think it comes down to timing. I don't think he was expecting Drake to drop three albums, to be fair. I don't think anybody was in here, to be honest.
SPEAKER_06Right, like my man's ignore Chicago Freestyle being one of the greatest songs that came out.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that when Drake samples like I wouldn't say across his whole discography. Chicago Freestyle?
SPEAKER_03I mean I think Drake got better.
SPEAKER_02I think it's cool, it's a cool song, but I I think when to say when was the better out of the two.
SPEAKER_07Oh, when to say when was good.
SPEAKER_02Like, don't get me wrong, like that Jay-Z New York bag. I like that.
SPEAKER_03It was lit like that. 230, baby. Yeah, it was. It was good.
SPEAKER_02It gave us, it gave me like a take care vibe. So I do like the song. I'm just shocked that you rank it that high.
SPEAKER_06Because I kept listening to it over and over.
SPEAKER_03Drake kind of fucked over a lot of niggas. Cause like even my man's Joe Vaughn, like he was trying to drop like a two-pack.
SPEAKER_02Is he TDE? Or am I thinking of someone else?
SPEAKER_03No, Joe Vaughn is he's an independent.
SPEAKER_02Ravon. That's Ravon.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But he's my man's. He was trying to drop like his two-pack after not dropping anything in a minute. And then as soon as he put the date out, like two days later, Drake came out. It's spooky when Drake.
SPEAKER_02But I feel like to be fair in Drake's defense, he did give an inclination that Iceman was kind of like out of his own mouth. And I'm not talking about his dick writers, like academics, saying, Soon, soon, Iceman soon. Uh Drake out of his own mouth implied that like May was like, you know, it. So, like, to be fair, anybody that chose May, they chose that up to their own. You chose that.
SPEAKER_06So I would never.
SPEAKER_03Um, I don't know about y'all, but I'm super fucking excited for this topic. Scary movie is dropping popcorn buckets.
SPEAKER_02I did see that.
SPEAKER_03You think it's real? Mother fucking bombs.
SPEAKER_07They are.
SPEAKER_02I'm trying to figure out how the mechanics of it are going to be. Yeah, my boy.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I'm trying to think that it's not gonna be glass. Like, I'm assuming it's just gonna be plastic.
SPEAKER_06They said it might be a spoof. My boy said it might be a spoof in total. Like, that's just them primary.
SPEAKER_02Like it might not be real?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but I don't want it to not be.
SPEAKER_03No, that's just real.
SPEAKER_02I feel like, I feel like it's like uh that shit's real.
SPEAKER_03They have like an official thing for it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, is it? I was gonna say, because the demand, if it wasn't real before, they're gonna have to make it real. Because I think people are excited about that.
SPEAKER_06Yo, like, don't show me that.
SPEAKER_03I ain't gonna hold you though. As cool as that is, and I definitely want one, I'll be mad as shit trying to get the popcorn out of the room. That's what I'm saying. How are the mechanics? I'll be eating it and shit, but then like by the time it gets halfway, I'm like, That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_02How are the mechanics gonna work? That was crazy.
SPEAKER_06I think, I think if you look at the base from um the uh the pipe part, I think you're a victim. It looks like the pipe like pipe uh pops off.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Yeah, the mechanics of it, dude. You want to grab on your chop cheese? Are you gonna eat that?
SPEAKER_02Speaking of, I know this wasn't an original topic, but I will say Donnie, you like horror movies, right?
SPEAKER_03Love them.
SPEAKER_02Do you, Rich?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02If you haven't already, I do recommend you guys seeing Obsession.
SPEAKER_06Yo, I heard that shit was crazy. It was.
SPEAKER_02It was the first like horror movie that's freaked me out in a while. I saw it last night.
SPEAKER_03I want to see that. I want to see Passenger, I want to see there was another one. I can't remember the name of it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Right, it looks like that shit's supposed to like pop though.
SPEAKER_02I hope they figure that out because it it looks like it's a good thing.
SPEAKER_03I mean, it's it probably will, to be honest.
SPEAKER_02It's got to. Uh, is God is one of the ones you were thinking of?
SPEAKER_03Or not?
SPEAKER_02Is God is with uh Sterling K. Brown? Was that the other one? I'm wearing that.
SPEAKER_03No, but I you know what I do want to go see this weekend though? Um, I love boosters. Yes, I'm seeing that on the show. I want to see that shit so bad. I want to see it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm hearing good things. And I love it. He's a really good actor. He snuck up on me.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Y'all crazy, man. Y'all not go act like Mandalorian and Grogu didn't come out this weekend. I'm not into Star Wars like that. I'm sorry. Oh my god, yo, that's it's a space western.
SPEAKER_02I will say, when I went and saw Obsession last night, there was mad people there with their little green slushy cups for the Mandalorian. It's getting love, it's just not from us.
SPEAKER_03I will say, I may not really care to go see the Mandalorian, but that fucking lime green shit that they were selling, nigga. That shit was good.
SPEAKER_02Talk about the drink or something else?
SPEAKER_03The drink. Yeah, it does look good.
SPEAKER_06They have a grogu.
SPEAKER_03I just had it with Jay when we went to um, I forgot what was the last movie. We went to go see Billie Eilish. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So don't worry about it. I do see it. I do see it. I do see it.
SPEAKER_07Why you look why you say look at you?
SPEAKER_06Because last episode he was like, I don't know why no one wants to see this Billie Eilish and James Cameron.
SPEAKER_02It's like, who the fuck wants to see that? Well, let me not do too much. My sister loves Billie Eilish, but like I like I told Donnie, I don't get the hype. I like a couple of songs.
SPEAKER_06That shit was low. She her album is pretty fire, but I am disappointed that he took a break from blue people.
SPEAKER_02Just to do Billy.
SPEAKER_06Nigga, what?
SPEAKER_02That is crazy. Like, I wonder how that link up comes together.
SPEAKER_06Like, that's so random. Did she come up to you and say, Oh, I love Avatar 2?
SPEAKER_02And you're like to have been. It had to have been.
SPEAKER_05Fuck. Let's go white money, bitch. Listen, more people. Fuck.
SPEAKER_02Um, I will. Say Regal has been stepping up their slushy game. Every time I'm up in there, and I see movies quite frequently, they're always changing it up.
SPEAKER_03Hot tape.
SPEAKER_02What's up?
SPEAKER_03Y'all might as well just get rid of AMC. Regal's low-key killing it. We barely got Regals around here. Yeah, they need to start building. I will say AMC.
SPEAKER_02For them to really step it up to AMC's level, get them chairs fixed. Because I saw Michael at an AMC and them chairs was lit. I had my feet kicked up. I told your wife. I was like, I had my feet kicked up. I was chilling. Music bumping. I got to relax. If Regal really wants to step it up, fix the chairs.
SPEAKER_03They're working on it. They just stepped up and got Apple Pay. They above Walmart right now. No.
SPEAKER_06Walmart Payne. No, they don't have Apple Pay. If you don't have your card, yo. Walmart pay.
SPEAKER_03I always have my card on me.
SPEAKER_02I can't trust it. I always have my card on me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Walmart got Walmart Pay, so you got to scan the little QR code.
SPEAKER_02Walmart's ghetto anyway, so I shouldn't be shocked.
SPEAKER_03They're like giving you every reason but Apple Pay.
SPEAKER_06Like, bro, just let me know.
SPEAKER_02I bet you they have Samsung Pay too, don't they? I bet you they have Samsung Pay. They don't? Walmart Pay.
SPEAKER_06Walmart Pay. Walmart Plus?
SPEAKER_02If you got Walmart Plus, maybe they got it for you. If I found out, like, what would you do if like someone you was with was like, oh yeah, yeah, put it on me. I got Walmart Plus. I would look at them so crazy. Crazy.
SPEAKER_06I'm like, bro, that's what you spend your money on. We in a recession. You want to spend your money on?
SPEAKER_02Your priorities all fucked up. I can't hang with you no more.
SPEAKER_03I don't give a fuck about this Godfather sequel, bro. You don't have to be a good one. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02It's gonna be ass. I'm sorry. You can like because it's gonna be some shit like, oh, it sound like old head. Yo, I'm like my father more and more every day. Um because it's gonna be like they're gonna do a cop-out. It's gonna be some distant relative of Don's that they try to make the new godfather, and he's gonna do his best Alpacino cosplay and force gonna force an Oscar campaign. I don't want to see that shit.
SPEAKER_03Just make another Sopranos movie at that point.
SPEAKER_02Like, at this like sometimes you just gotta let classics be classics. We don't need another sequel.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's how I feel about it.
SPEAKER_02And the third one sucked so bad, I really don't want to see another.
SPEAKER_06The third one's where that clip came from.
SPEAKER_02The incest shit?
SPEAKER_03I think so. I think so, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, because I clicked it on YouTube. I was like, where is this from? I'm like Alpha 3. That's why I'd never fucking seen this before.
SPEAKER_03I actually wanted to know y'all's opinion on this because I kind of have conflicted feelings about it.
SPEAKER_02Okay, what is it?
SPEAKER_03Spotify is unveiling a new feature and it's called reserved.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, I didn't hear about this.
SPEAKER_03I I didn't know if it was real or not, but it's real I saw it from their page. Okay. The problem with it basically the reserve feature is whatever artist you listen to the most, they'll reserve concert tickets for you to buy.
SPEAKER_02Which I think is cool.
SPEAKER_03I feel like that's cool, but it's also kind of in like the worst market you could put it in at the moment. Because in terms of like concerts, like they're already canceling concerts because ticket prices are way too expensive. Right. Like they're they're they're at a point where like even promoters can't even guarantee that you'll have a concert because people are buying them the day of.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I do think that's more of a situation. The way my anxiety is set up, I need to get it immediately and not wait too. I think that's more of a problem for artists that are not being real uh reasonable about like how much they can sell. Yeah, like the Beyonce's, the Kendricks, the Drakes, the Arianas, they don't have to worry about that. They're gonna sell it.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna put it like this, though. Like the fact that I have to pay $1,700 for nosebleed Ariana tickets.
SPEAKER_02That's a ticket master problem.
SPEAKER_06It is.
SPEAKER_03That is a ticket. Well, it's really an upseller problem.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's really it I've seen it on Tick Pick.
SPEAKER_02No, it it's a lot. It's a lot of things.
SPEAKER_03It's resellers that that's the problem.
SPEAKER_02Because in my opinion, my theory is that they're in bed with these resellers and bots. They're all doing that. There's no way. So I'm hoping that lawsuit really kicks shit into gear.
SPEAKER_03And it's only concerts like that where it's just like they know that this is a high profile profile fucking artist. Yeah, damn. Yeah, bullshit. The bleed is $1,800 right now. But then you're able to pay like $300 to go see Beyonce and those bleeds.
SPEAKER_02I think to I think the problem is too, some artists have more control of that than you think. Like Olivia Rodrigo did this whole like uh reason like uh like affordable ticket thing for her fans. So yeah, I thought that was a label thing. No, artists can have control. So Beyonce did it like a verified resale that like capped it off at a certain amount because I got Renaissance resale. So the artists can do the Ariana Grande doing this whole lottery ticket system. It's because she's like, yo, you guys have to fix this. So um This is ridiculous. The artists have more say in it. Like certain artists, like the big artists. I'm pretty sure the like even Olivia Dean, who's like like a kind of a freshman in the game, came out and said, Yeah, I better fix this shit now, Ticketmaster, because we're not gonna.
SPEAKER_03It was the same thing last year, because I was gonna go see Lady Gaga last year.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you never ended up seeing her?
SPEAKER_03The ticket was $900.
SPEAKER_06Tickets are crazy.
SPEAKER_02I was like, And most people get more than one ticket. So, like that's the thing.
SPEAKER_03Like, most people, like, if I was gonna go see Ariana by myself, that's like $700. Right. That's something where I'm like, it's a lot, but I could do it because it's myself.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, unfortunately, I would fork that cash because it's Ari. And you know, I love her.
SPEAKER_06Bro, but I'm looking at one ticket is $1,300. See, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_02And like, let's be reasonable here. And be reasonable. Most people are not gonna pay those prices.
SPEAKER_06Bro, that's rent.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So it's like I love Ari, but maybe I don't love her that much to spend like $2,000. Like, I'd spend $700. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_03Because they have that, this whole system in play, it's cool that some shit are being reserved, but you gotta realize this isn't just one person, like this is the millions of people that you have on Spotify.
SPEAKER_02I think they're gonna crack it to like the top one like percent, like the very like, like you listen to them practically every day. Like, I think they're gonna be very strict. I don't think it's gonna be the top like 10% or the top 20. Like, I have this social media app that's built for music connected to Spotify. It's called Airbuds, and you can like react to what your friends are listening to and all of that. It gives you like daily and weekly raps. It's very cool. I've posted some of them on my. It's not an ad, I promise. Uh, my bad. She doesn't sell. Um, I don't I don't mean to my bad. I didn't mean to promote it. Um but like it'll tell you.
SPEAKER_03Sell me this pen.
SPEAKER_02I could sell water to a fish, nigga. No, uh but like it tells you if you're in the top 1% of like an artist. Yeah, so I think that's more so what they're gonna go. Like, yo, this bitch listens to a lot of Ariana Grande, give her a couple of tickets. You know what I mean? I think that's kind of what I'm thinking it's gonna be.
SPEAKER_03It's cool. It's like it's a cool feature, but it's like it's pretty cool. It's I don't know, it's a little iffy to me.
SPEAKER_02That's fair. Like, we'll see how it ends up rolling out, but I really do think they're gonna be careful about that. Like, you have to like live and breathe an artist. So for you, it'd be like MGK, probably.
SPEAKER_06Oh, you know he's in that top one.
SPEAKER_02You know, he's probably the 000.1%. You know what I'm saying? So you would get that.
SPEAKER_06They were like, they were like, yo, here, just take it.
SPEAKER_02What the fuck are you doing? Yeah, like here, man. You paying his bills at this point.
SPEAKER_03Um what is it? Lotto gives birth.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. You don't care about Big Mama? I like Big Mama.
SPEAKER_03Big Mama.
SPEAKER_02I don't I don't I'm happy she had a healthy like delivery, but like I'm not too invested in her personal life.
SPEAKER_03Hey, that's that's that's a fucking A plus for fucking 21, I'll tell you that.
SPEAKER_06She's uh so funny. Oh, there's another one. With Wiz the Kid. Okay, so okay, I see what's going on here. So she shocked everybody yesterday when she put a uh 21 Savage collab post and it was the knife, and everybody was like, oh, what about the drop sign? But then shortly after she did a Mariah the Scientist one.
SPEAKER_02So these pe are these features?
SPEAKER_06I guess so, because now there's a Wiz Kids.
SPEAKER_02You think the boy is gonna be on there?
SPEAKER_06I think so.
SPEAKER_02I think so.
SPEAKER_06I mean she keeps mentioning Crody.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she does. Look, I have something to say, but I don't I don't wanna get y'all in trouble with my with my with my theory.
SPEAKER_06You think he's writing Lotto's bars?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you can tell. And uh Well, she's just a huge fan. That nigga writing her raps. I know Drake, I know Aubrey when I hear him.
SPEAKER_06It sounds like on her last album, which I loved, Shout Out to Me is a Drake reference.
SPEAKER_02Like, that is a thing, that's a song he wrote for her. His cadence, his inflection, she's not trying hard to mask it. Anytime he mentions Turk, anytime she mentions Turks and Keikos, that nigga loved Turks and Keikos. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, he's writing for her. He's writing for her. Sorry. Well, Drake, that's the thing with Drake. Like, he's a great writer. He is. That's why I get mad when he gets lazy, because he can write.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, you can tell.
SPEAKER_02He wrote right here by Justin Bieber off of Believe. That shit was hard. Yeah, that's fuck. So he's a good writer.
SPEAKER_06And he wrote Unthinkable by Alicia Key.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, exactly. That nigga be in his bag. So that's why I get frustrated with him. Nigga, I know you're better than that. That nigga's better than that. I feel like a disappointed parent.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I was about to say sound disappointed.
SPEAKER_03We got one last topic, my niggas.
SPEAKER_02Alright, what's up?
SPEAKER_03Do y'all care about the late show ending and what that's gonna do for late night TV in general?
SPEAKER_02I do.
SPEAKER_03It's a little, it's a little as someone who As someone that cares about film and TV, the late show ending is is is a step in I don't know if it's the right or wrong direction.
SPEAKER_02I feel like it's the wrong personally.
SPEAKER_03I mean, here's I was telling Rich, I think, yesterday. I was like there's not a lot of profit in late night TV anymore. Okay. Not only that, the only person still striving is Kimmel because of the controversy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06He just gotta rebrand.
SPEAKER_02Because I think his YouTube does numbers, so that helps him. I think. So even if they got rid of him, he was gonna be cool.
SPEAKER_03And I was telling him, like, I was telling Rich, I'm like, there's no there's nothing saving um late night TV because even if you get people to perform, nobody even cares about watching the performances anymore.
SPEAKER_02That's true. I can't say the last time I watched a Kimmel performance. I really can't. Or Jimmy Fallon.
SPEAKER_06Saturday Night Live has been. And I liked them both.
SPEAKER_03I like both Fallon and Kimmel.
SPEAKER_02I think SNL is somehow still going. Oh, yeah. I will say their more recent season has been a little bit better. I like some of the new cast members. They're funny.
SPEAKER_06You could also tell uh after the writer's strike, the writers start giving a fuck. Their writing has been way better. I haven't seen a new season.
SPEAKER_02There's one, I don't know her name, Ashley Padilla. She's hilarious. She's like to me, one of the breakout stars. And then the guy that does the Tucker Tucker Carson. He's funny as well. He's funny. Um, I do think it's a bad thing because like late night was one of the like outlets we had to kind of criticize where we are politically. And by getting because a lot of people feel like it's a political move. I'm one of those.
SPEAKER_03Um, didn't Trump have something to do with like Paramount and the reason why? Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, some kind of so their parent company. Yeah, so to me, it's just trending in a bad way. We're heading towards censorship, and I don't like that. Yeah, love or hate these late night hosts, it's not a good sign.
SPEAKER_06Now, I I don't I don't give a fuck only because my favorite late night show is John Oliver.
SPEAKER_02And he's still around, right?
SPEAKER_06He's still around, but he's so underground, but he's been kicking the parent company back in. Like he's on HBO, so he kicks in Warner Brothers back. Warner Brothers is, you know, now under Discovery. He was kicking in their back and before they were under ATT, and he was like, that doesn't even make no fucking sense. Like he kicks in their back. So he's bold. He's mad bold. So I think maybe people might gravitate towards him and look for a different outlet.
SPEAKER_02And maybe I feel like Steven's got enough of a following that he can move to YouTube or he can move to Netflix or he can move somewhere else. Yeah, uh, where he doesn't have as many restraints and he'll be fine. Just off of like kind of how Kimmel got that second win because of how they tried to get rid of him, he'll have that second win of like, see, they try to take him down and now he's popping back up.
SPEAKER_06But my thing is too, and if he does do that, he's gonna be successful. Yeah, for sure. But it's the same thing that happened with like Ebro and his crew. Like, you know how they got rid of Hannah.
SPEAKER_02They still doing their thing though.
SPEAKER_06They're doing their thing on YouTube, they're getting the numbers, but they even said it themselves. It was like it's hard because the average person just is used to tuning in to the radio. Yeah, like that.
SPEAKER_02Especially when you've been on so long, you have those loyalists loyal listeners, and most of them are of an older age.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, they don't want to go fucking right to YouTube.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we see that a lot in our line of work based off of like our our audience, like what like our demographic is. So I totally get that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Why are you looking at me like that, bro?
SPEAKER_02I don't know, it just got real serious. You saw that, right?
SPEAKER_03He took a deep breath with the faded downside.
SPEAKER_02He was like, he was I was like, okay, he's about to talk to niggas or something.
SPEAKER_03Nah, I was I was just setting up the end of the show, bro. My fault. My fault. Like, I wasn't, I was, yeah, I wasn't supposed to catch me.
SPEAKER_01Like I was like It was just the look on your face after, too.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, bro, I just got a rusting bitch face, bro. It ain't my fault.
SPEAKER_06Oh man.
SPEAKER_02This is when the nigga was magic.
SPEAKER_06Yo, that might as touch.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was undeniable.
SPEAKER_06And niggas are clouding him for trying to be serious in this too. I remember that day. It was like worse behavior. He wanna be hard. He wanna be hard.
SPEAKER_03We're obviously on our worst behavior because audience, this is the longest episode we ever gave, y'all niggas.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, you linked up with a yapper.
SPEAKER_03Yo, you linked up with a yapper. Yo, we have never reached 340 before.
SPEAKER_01My bad.
SPEAKER_03Nah, I ain't mad. I said I could I could do this shit all day.
SPEAKER_01Me too. That's the problem.
SPEAKER_06No, I was kinda I was kinda amazing myself. It's like, can't we go in this far? We're still going? I got it in me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy. That's what happens with like you you're having fun and you're like with like-minded people that like get and dissect music the way you do. That's it's always refreshing talking to people that say more than just mid. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_06That shit's done. Like, I'm tired of people saying mid and not at least expanding.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, I'm nothing wrong with a differing opinion, but like, let's unpack it.
SPEAKER_06Oh, thank you. Yo, it's funny guests on here.
SPEAKER_03I appreciate y'all. This whole time, Rich was just like, yo, like, how is she? Like, she's gonna be a good one. I'm like, yo, she's honest, bro. He like, what does that mean? Yo, because I'm like, don't worry about it, bro.
SPEAKER_06Ever since our first guests, uh-huh, we have this thing where we're like sitting there, we're like, Well, I don't know what to expect.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_06Let's just hope this goes well. It usually always does go well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, I get it. It's scary, like inviting someone in. Like, I know I know Donnie, but this is our first time really meeting, so I get a little bit of the anxiety.
SPEAKER_06Like, oh, she's gonna have discussions for you with this Drake. So she's sitting up like, am I about to get caught up right now?
SPEAKER_01Like, you know who liked to like give an uh an air of suspense.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I didn't kill this album as much as I thought I would, because I had time to really sit with it. I still don't love it, but you know, it could have been worse, I guess, you know.
SPEAKER_06And I'm glad, and thanks, because I'm glad we did do a review a week later. Yeah. With time to sit. That's what I missed, yo. The albums used to drop on Tuesday.
SPEAKER_03It's the Beyonce effect. All the way until Saturday.
SPEAKER_02That's the Beyonce effect. She did that subtitle drop. And they said, actually, it'd be cool if we had a full tracking week. Let's do that.
SPEAKER_06You're like, no.
SPEAKER_02I mean, it was cool at the time, but I think it was dramatic when she did it. It was, man. Such good time. It was a good time. But I think every artist should start adopting, you know, if they have the pull. Should just start dropping whenever they do.
SPEAKER_06I mean, Tyler dropped on a fucking Monday. Right. I love that.
SPEAKER_02At a reasonable hour. I'm grown. I'm pushing 30. Like, thank you. I don't want to stay up till midnight and shit. I don't fucking know.
SPEAKER_06No one likes doing that. So that's what I hate too when you get album reviews because it's like, all right, bro, you heard this at midnight.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_06You're already tired.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you don't, yeah, that's true. That's why I don't do midnight stay-ups too much. I was gonna do it with Iceman, but then I saw two additional albums and I said, nope. Good night.
SPEAKER_03That's like the good thing about waking up at 3 a.m. for work. I'll just listen to that shit on the way there.
SPEAKER_02That's what I used to do on that shift. That's nice. That's nice. That's the only reason I missed that shift.
SPEAKER_06Nah, because they'll hit me at six, like, yo, this album's okay. I'm like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_02It's like, whoa, I'm like, I'm getting the crust out of my eye. Like, whoa, I don't even know what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_06I look at his store, he's already going through tracks. Like, damn, hold on.
unknownWait, wait.
SPEAKER_03The audience, we love you. Thank you for having me.
SPEAKER_06However, you about to freestyle?
SPEAKER_03I gotta go pick up my son and say, You know I'm a dad now.

SPEAKER_06Another one. Want to thank KO for doing what she did all these months, word.
SPEAKER_02Thank you for having me, y'all. I fuck with y'all.
unknownThank you, baby.
SPEAKER_06I appreciate that.
SPEAKER_00After hours a day. The contract is like 91 damn merino. Swear to me.
SPEAKER_03Don't join May Teeth, niggas. We don't need no May Teams in the video, nigga. We love y'all niggas.
SPEAKER_00But thinking back on how they treated me, my high school reunion might be worse than the pairs.
SPEAKER_03Now I'm in the show.
SPEAKER_04Everything I got everything I can complain, I cannot complain.
SPEAKER_06I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong.
SPEAKER_03Wait, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold it. Say it. Love and clear.
SPEAKER_06Iceman was not on the same level, there's nothing was the same. But his next work might be.
SPEAKER_02You said that?
SPEAKER_06I was trying to rage bait him, and he wasn't.
SPEAKER_02He rage baited me.
SPEAKER_05Shut the fuck up.
SPEAKER_03Thank you, Remy.
SPEAKER_05She won't out of fanny. Okay, make a million paper.
SPEAKER_02Sheep, nigga got a shit.
SPEAKER_06He's a mess at that shit, though.
SPEAKER_04What everything, I got everything. I cannot complain. I cannot. I don't even say that. Uh no no.
